GTA 6 Fear List

GRANDHEIST

Recommended Posts

Being set in 90s, pre-70s or 2010s. Anything else is fine with me (70s, 80s, 2000s and 2020s - modern times).

Map uncovering how it does in GTA V and RDR II. I'd be fine with it if at 90-95% of map uncovering, it uncovers to 100% automatically.

My biggest concern, and possibly the most realistic, is that a lot of small nuances and traditions will be lost with the departure of Dan and Leslie. There are so many tiny things that make GTA GTA, like bashing X to run, the name of the car in the bottom right corner, the money in the top right corner, the fact that every cover besides Chinatown Wars has had a helicopter in the top left corner, the wonky physics, etc;

Yes, you nailed it!!  The GTA-isms that we all take for granted.  Even the little details that make GTA GTA like you say.  Even the glowing markers for checkpoints or missions that make a certain noise when you go in them.  So GTA.  Floating weapons and pickups...  (I'm replaying San Andreas right now so it's filled with that nostalgic-GTA goodness.  Damn this game was just so well-designed.)

There are little details that I "hope" don't go away but when you take away an artist, the art isn't exactly the same even if intentions are good to retain everything.

My biggest fear is that Rockstar will market the game with a certain theme - i.e. bank robbers, drug smugglers - only to release another story about the FIB and IAA.

I fear that they'll do something similar to GTA V, which undermined the rich plot that the franchise always had, bringing over the top elements to the game which indeed ruined the experience for me.

Bruh! that f*cking triggered my fear.  The only way I want government agencies to get involved with the protagonist is if they are trying catch them to arrest them. Not join forces and work for them. Don't want to be another government gimp.  Also doing work (missions) and not get paid a single penny not even a f*cking thanks (looking at you tonya missions).

Dumb AI, please

Bad car physics/collisions (5 went too arcade-ish imo)

Small map (or big non-detailed even tho i would choose this over small detailed map)

It will be modern and be too satirical of the modern period. Too much focus on a fictional Trump (I know they’d probably never do it - the Houser interview etc...).

Hearing the term “ok boomer”

-No interiors
-No realistic steak
-More of the map is filled countryside than cities and villages
-No nightlife
-No luxury when you actually have the money to buy it
-Pc release 2 years later
-The whole game being set in 70-80's

- Setting in past

- Location out of the USA

- Only a city available

- Map small or not detailed

- Dumb AI

- Less interiors

- Not being able to buy safehouses

- Less entertainment features

- A game focused ONLY on principal storyline missions without side missions or extra activities.

-that we have the stupid all guns and bazookas fitting magic pockets again ( i want realistic gun carrying like in rdr2 so you can carry only few guns and rest of the guns are stored in your cars trunk or gun locker in your house)

-that theres no vehicle damage (i want realistic as possible vehigle damage, gta with beamng destruction is my wet dream:pp)

-that we still cant open the cars side windows........

-sh*tty too quiet gun sounds and lame shooting/compat like in gta v

-unrealistic driving/vehicle handling

-its also on this gen of consoles (would be biggest dissapointment to me)

Honestly, my biggest fear is that for some reason, it never comes out. Other than that, I trust R*. I like some of their games more, some of them less, but still, almost every single game they developed was top notch when compared to the rest of the industry, IMO. Nothing gets me as hyped as R* announcing a new game.

You can definitely open car windows in GTA V... Press the shooting button while unarmed and the character rolls down the windows....

- Map which isn't much bigger than GTA V's

- There won't be much more detail than in GTA V. LS in GTA V looks really cool but it lacks life, most of the stores, restaurants etc. are not accessible and there is a scarcity of people and cars, feels quite unnatural. People also don't do much else than walk etc.

- Driving/collision physics of cars will continue the same, arcadey style and will not be improved much over GTA V. Doesn't have to be a simulation but an over-arcadish driving/crashing experience is boring and unchallenging

- Police AI and the unrealism of gaining wanted level. Wanted level should not get triggered unless someone sees your crime and informs the authorities or if the police sees the crime itself. Shooting in an empty desert should not get you wanted.

- Will have the classic "GTA" traffic = traffic lights with 5 cars = 4 same cars, 1 different one

- Will not have much to do outside the missions

- Interaction with different people, things etc. will be minuscule

- Not a huge fear but I'd hope we'd stay in modern days

LOL, you guys just created a new fear for me. The trailer/announcement finally dropping and not being able to talk about how excited I am about the new protagonist. ;)

isnt that just the middlefinger? It does not have window rolling down animation or nothin like that. It just disappears.

I FEAR just a concrete jungle and no other landforms. (I'd like to see forests or jungles, mountains, little villages/towns.)

I FEAR the character will be too much of a goody two shoes so going on rampages makes no sense and kills the immersion.

I FEAR fist fights will be poor and unfun.

that it's a cross gen game, ps4/xbox1 will significantly constrain the game's design, rdr 2 was already pushing these old consoles to their limit and the performance was pretty bad in some places

Trying not to echo all of the previous suggestions...

I am fearful that sports / super cars will still be able to climb mountains easily, negating all usage of dedicated / slower 4WD vehicles.

I am fearful that any online gameplay will remain in the form of largely unmoderated 'P2P servers' rife with script-kiddies.

I am fearful that the game will be dumbed down / censored to appeal to a legally younger age bracket of players than the current (supposed - squeakers not withstanding) 18+ rating.

I am fearful that the game-engine used will be designed for consoles first and foremost, with a glitchy / throttled PC port arriving a year or two later (if at all).

I am fearful that trees and metal posts / bollards will remain the most unmovable items in the universe, giving no notion to whether they are struck by a BMX or a house-sized haulage truck.

I am fearful that the developers / support teams will remain brutal to 'fun bugs' but continually ignore game-breaking glitches.

Just. uhm, briefly popping in here to say that I would actually like a woman as a protagonist, given that I do, in fact, happen to be one and would enjoy the change. Anyway..

My fears are:

-  A lack of immersive details, activities and mechanics which, for myself, has always been an integral feature to games such as this and was something that RDR II did extremely well.

- Very few accessible interiors, or in the situation that there are, very little to do within them.

-  Poor pacing, and a narrative which stumbles around aimlessly after the first act concludes [I am looking at you, V]

  • Reusing the already existing city again (fight me Vice City fans)
  • Main focus on multiplayer mode, or even singleplayer mode being connected with multiplayer
  • General focus on young audience with no thinking about loyal GTA fans
  • Too light-hearted and arcade-y
  • GTA V-like, glued-to-the-ground driving physics
  • No accessible restaurants, bowling alleys and such
  • In-GTA brands turning into more generic ones even more they did in V/Online
  • Something paranormal again (physical UFO's, ghosts and stuff)
