jekz
Hello RDR2 PC community! Started my 2nd playthrough and wanted to go first person for this one but I noticed huge fps drops (20-30% drops) when shooting in first person, no drops at all in 3rd. Tried playing with some settings but couldn't get rid of the drops. Anyone else noticed the same and if so anyone found a fix? I assume it has something to do with the smoke coming from the guns since it only happens when shooting.
MrQuiche
I think it's linked to the way smoke and particles are handled by the game, in FP it's too intense and close for the game to keep a steady framerate Obviously i can't really tell you what's wrong but i've noticed this too Edited March 20, 2020 by MrQuiche

I think this is one of those things that could be fixed if R* gave a damn but seems like 1st person is just an afterthought.
