What causes CJ's Speech Change in game? [SA]

Hey guys.

Its been a while everyone as I don't play games much but anyways, We know CJ gets comments from NPCs a lot of times, some of which are good and some are bad. But in my game the response that CJ gives to them is always the same and I hear it almost everytime. But there are lot of other dialogues that CJ has in the games audio files. The most obvious I know is when cj has fat, his dialogues changes but there are lot more which I cant get them triggered.

So guys do you know something that I can do to cause CJ change his dialogues he speaks? Anything like changing particular clothes or style or driving a car or bike like that? :)

From the top of my head, I remember NPCs commenting on shoes, tattoos and muscles, all of which Carl can react to.

Further you'll hear remarks regarding CJ's smell, tied to not changing his clothes for some time (I think).

Shooting up places will also sound different when wearing Didier Sachs... something along the lines of: "I may dress nice, but I'm still a killer!".

Fully Noted. My game progress is 100% i am trying to switch between various clothes from binco to Didier sachs and still not seen any changes in the speeches he gives to peds when they mock him.

There is only 1 effective change in speech is when CJ puts on green clothes from binco which are Green jeans and Green hoody. Whenever I put on something different same old speeches again. Anymore ideas?

I do wonder if it's time played in-between saving. I don't know if the coding is sophisticated enough to use that, but if you saved frequently, maybe the game sees this as CJ being more "fresh" (well rested, showered). Of course, these things are only implied but maybe they contribute to the perception NPCs have on CJ looking haggard or perhaps smelling a bit.

Ok so that means save less and see what happens?

Well just now made cj go fat and his speech sets changed. There is 1 speech which i never heard for so many years him saying when npc mocks him which is "At least people dont get confused about my species" its belongs to particular speech set i guess and there are more sets which i am trying to make him say while in my fully completed game. But cant exactly get them to work.

You can try it. Honestly, I don't really know what causes it. There are some lines I used to hear early on that I don't hear at all in casual play. I used to assume it was down to respect and sex appeal, and some NPCs were fussier than others, as in some were easier to impress or more receptive. For example, the posh looking blonde lady in the white dress is likely harder to draw positive comments from than maybe somebody that spawns in the lower income areas of Los Santos.

I got so exhausted by switching between various outfits but only to notice no changes in speech. Obvious Speech changes occur when Wearing green outfits or increasing fat.

Update: this video has most of the dialogues which are known.

Personally, I think it has something to do about "periods of the game" (among other things). I mean, the dialogues change as the game progresses. And I'm not talking only about the pedestrian dialogues, but also the other things, such as CJ's comments when he experiences car accidents. All these things change when CJ moves to SF, or to desert, countryside etc. For example, I notice that my CJ makes different comments when he hits a car or a car hits him, or when he's fighing the police, when I'm for example in San Fierro part of the game, than the comments he makes when I'm at the very beginning, doing the first missions.

Ok Now I will move over to desert area or Village areas and see whether it causes CJ's speech to change.

I didn't mean that way. Not like you just move to another part of the map. I mean, you have to be doing these MISSIONS. You need to progress your way through the game. For example, you need to reach Dessert missions for Mike Toreno (which means your Game Progress needs to reach like 60-70%). My theory is that CJ's speech changes during different parts of playing the story missions, not by simply going to another area of the map

Wait Carl can react? Like you can press a button and he answers? Or do you mean more like automatically?

If a pedestrian turns and says something to you, you can make Carl react by hitting the left or right button on the D-pad for a negative or positive reaction respectively. You're given a little pop up prompt early on the game but it's a "blink and you'll miss it" moment because it's not integral to the story at all.

Could this be due to the fact that you collected all 50 oysters and despite the fact that the level of attractiveness has not changed in any way - this gives the player some privileges, for example, in communicating with girls and when meeting them. I can't be sure, but my guess is that there is a chance that after collecting all the oysters, the players may always find your outfit satisfactory. Anyway - this is an interesting topic in need of tests

I am not sure. But there are 5 kinds of CJ behaviors in the game each have unique dialogues for compliments and insults. Still trying to figure how to toggle them.

CJ talks differently when

- He f*cks with ballas, vagos or cops

- He has so much money or no money 😄

- His clothes are so expensive

- He goes to different cities

I mean no matter how he acts like a player in Las Venturas, his speech immediately returns to "Gangbanger CJ" in second chapter of gang wars 😄

This does not work for me.

What works for me that is CJ's Dialogue change when.

1. CJ wears green clothing.

2. CJ becomes fat.

3. CJ gets Wanted level.

These are the only 3 scenarios when his dialogues change.
