Showdown modes in the upcoming weeks? Man, that's just not enough to keep this game going until the next dlc. I thought they figured out a long time ago that showdown modes were not the right direction for this game?

I'd rather there be no new event weeks if it meant they would work on meaningful fixes (and maybe some much needed features). I think at this rate I may never re-install RDO...

On one hand, they're starting to do variant versions of content already in the game. That's good, I like that, I hope they do more, there's a lot of potential there.

 

On the other hand, they're doing it with what they've publicly stated is the least popular mode in RDO.

Nice to see them release limited stock. Sad to see them not come up with something really new. 
 

Can’t help noticing these threads used to have 2-3 pages of posts by this time a few months ago already and nowadays the members seem to have lost a lot of activity, even in the weekly update threads.

Nothing for me, couldn't care less about the PvP modes. I do like that R* have started to add variants of existing modes though.

 

Given that schools are closed or closing in most places and that many of us who can work from home will be doing so, hopefully new PvP modes and maps will drag some of the d*ckheads out of free roam.

Yeah, they can't accept XP is meaningless.

During Outlaw pass, yes. Double XP can be worthwhile.... but season 2 is over lol And season 3 is probably on hold for the inevitable future

I just noticed that CoD:Warzone is free to play. Hopefully they'll resort to that game and have their hearts out in there and not spend cash on buying RDR2.

Never thought I'd say it, but I might end up being pleased about a CoD release.

 

Last night did seem marginally better, but not by much. By the time I'd done 4 dailies, sold a batch of moonshine and ridden to Strawberry only to find yet another bunch of noobs shooting it up, I couldn't be bothered to play any more.

Done a few easy dailies on both characters. Saint Denis was a warzone on both and Blackwater was one on the second character as well. No one bothered both my characters, though. 
Took both to the clothier, riding through menace fine. Stuck my dude in a green outfit, gave him red hair and dubbed him Paddy for the day for obvious reasons. 
Then switched to the character I can rank with. Bought some of the limited stuff, had some fun snatching hats from NPC’s in St. Denis and did some collecting. Not seen a single soul out in the open world for hours. Exactly how I like it.

Pretty much my experience last night in Valentine and Blackwater--players were leaving each other alone, and taking it out on the NPC population. My kind of game play--zero player griefing, and some free bodies for looting.

 

Valentine was heavily borked though; half the NPCs wouldn't die, presenting some Twilight Zone-like scenarios (among other issues)...
