VCS has no User Tracks Player icon, then? I thought it's from VCS.

Also, what's with Stories User Tracks? Do they display a mp3 name as radio station name instead of "MP3 player"/"User Tracks Player"? Because all I can find in GXT is

sh*t, it's even more advanced than in LCS... It won't easy to do, especially that list. I think I'll need to rewrite whole Audio menu from scratch

The icon is from Vice City, which is set in 1986, there was no MP3 Players back then either. I've gone with the MP3 Player Icon instead on an edited User Track Player player because every other Icon is alpha channeled, the User Track Icon doesn't have one (None of the San Andreas ones do) so to make sure it fits with the others, I opted for the original Vice City MP3 Player Icon so it doesn't look out of place next to other alpha channeled icons.

 

@SilentPL: It was listed as "Custom Track Player", it worked a little different, it would disable the default Radio and play your tracks instead, the Next and Back would change your Custom Tracks instead of the Radio Station, this was done due to limitations.

 

You'll notice in the text for the "User Track Options" I've changed the references to "Custom Track" instead, the only reason I left "User Track Options" the same is because Custom is more letters than User and the text on the menu wasn't centered when I replaced User with Custom, was a small thing I was going bring up, but wasn't exactly a major priority.

You don't need to try it that hard, VCS PC Edition's radio station is fine for now. I think we should use PC version's method of playing Custom track - copying from PSP version is not worth enough. SA has its own keys to control Custom tracks, whereas like Ash_735 said, PSP version disables normal Radio Station to use the Next/Prev station to control Custom tracks.

The actual name it stated as:

 

Custom Track Player

 

for both LCS and VCS. Where as in San Andreas it's called User Track Player. The good thing about the icon in San Andreas is that it just says "Track Player" so, like the edited one above, it'd fit in for Custom Track Player to. It's just the style of it seems too San Andreas for me, the colour and style of the MP3 Player Icon suits the menu theme much more IMO, I could try and make a few mock ups and see what works, but really, to me, considering Rockstar have already done an Icon for MP3 Player with Vice City and GTA3, it just seems like a very small thing to put effort in.

Ok, Small change, just changed the font to the stories one, I tried Rage Italic (Vice font) but it just looked really bad, but this is good so far:

I just thought that the user track player logo would look better than an mp3 logo because it would fit into VCS's theme of being in the early 80's. Feel free to whatever you want for the logo I was just expressing my personal opinion. As for the track list for the user station, don't worry about it, it's really unnecessary and I like how it's random, makes it more like a real station. A cool idea though would be to replace the advertisements that come up between songs on the user track station with ad's from real VCS stations.

Not bad, that's something I can actually do, I'll get on it as soon as the logo for the Custom Track Player is decided upon (which you also brought up ).

 

And just to say, we don't mind this kind of input, my post was just to say that the MP3 Player Icon isn't ours, it was done by Rockstar for Vice City, so complaining to us about MP3 not fitting the era, you'd have to point the blame at Rockstar when they did it for the PC version of Vice City! Now I'm just waiting on feedback from the latest concepts I've worked up to see which one gets chosen by the team.

Rockstar was too lazy to make change so they used the same term for user radio station from GTA III (Set in 2001) for VC (Set in 1986) I could understand a MP3 player existing in 2001, but 80s', well...
