The real reason Rockstar have never released a VCS remaster is because they no longer have the rights to all the music in the radio stations. Remember how they're always cutting songs from later realeases of San Andreas and the Steam version of Vice City?

 

In order to be able to release the game now, they would have to cut down most of the radio stations by 40%, or completely re-do them. Cutting them down would be a disservice, and re-doing them would cost too much and would involve licensing new music.

Re-licensing all the original music in the game would cost millions of dollars, and there's no way that a mobile re-release would be able to recoup that amount to make the game profitable.

 

Also, VCS originally undersold LCS on the PSP and PS2, and did not receive glowing reviews upon release. WE all may love the game, but we're in the minority.

Is there any chance you could make the hotel room from Accidents Will Happen into a safehouse? Oddly, despite appearing in only one mission, it's fully-modelled and detailed, and can be accessed at any point in the game. You can see more about it in my latest topic.

Yes, they have the original games cheat codes, but with the built in debugger you can do some of that extra stuff, just press Ctrl+M during gameplay.

That specific one is also counted as a unique stunt jump, but in theory a copy of it could be made and put on a higher level to act like a safehouse in the same way we wanted to have Forbes apartment be made into a safe house in downtown (by also removing the empire property slapped randomly in the middle of downtown).

You mean @Ryadica926? It'd be up to how they feel once re:LCS is done but preference wise they seem to want to keep things on VC engine, which would mean it'd be easier for them to start there and build up the project on their own instead of inheriting our mess.

Hi, I downloaded the gta vcspc recently, and I have 2 problems, the first is in the mission "O, Brothel, Where Art Thou?", literally anything that I crash the game, walk in the car, take a shot, catch the prostitute, already deactivated the "DEP" and still did not advance (has some way to fix it?), another problem is the business locations, when I enter the inside, I'm teleported out of it, there is no way to get in.

I appreciate the enthusiasm but I just want to say this is a group effort, far from just myself, I'm just the Lead on this. Sadly as I've mentioned in the past though, this project is currently dead, there is no one available to work on it and most of us in the team are just too busy with work in other areas now.

hey dude i decide to continue the vcspc progress.how to  edit the spta files from models folder. If you can tell me how to open it.I already have the original hud   from psp file but with bit remaster with pshop and i also have the vcs hd radar map because the radar map already use is have low res

Cuz the your loading screen you're use is 512x512 res and it not fit perfectly with the pc resolution.as the result the loadcs will be trace lot black screen.and it's so annoying 

why if I enter the enex marker outside of vice point mall the game always crash.did you finished the vice point mall yet.A already have the dff and txd of the mall store but im'not sure it will be load in the game

Again, you've not even kept up with what we've been working on and you expect to come in and take over? The loading screens have been redone and modernised and things like the radar have been remade from scratch with corrections and such by @Nihilist..
