1) What made you think he uses the Steam version? The SA executable is named gta_sa, with underscore, not hyphen. I'm dumb, didn't read the text that went before the picture.

2) The latest VCS build is standalone, it doesn't need any GTA SA version.

(1) Friend if you are not blind in the screenshot you can see that it is the old Blue Hesper version and not the most recent

(2)Β And according to how you describe yourself in your rankΒ (Talkative like never before) in that I am sure

Really sad to hear that no one is working on this mod.

Maybe you could transfer this project to Ryadica from RE:LCS?

If that's what people want and he wants to take it on then sure, I'd be happy to stay on as Art Direction, I'm just sick of trying to manage people.

Yes, good that you mention Ryadica he made RE:LCS for PC perfect and could also help us VCS fans to brings this on PC, too.

I think Ryadica would be the best because he is good at scripting and has years of expierence.

Would love to see this project come back alive and being updated.

We'd still need a team though, unlike LCS practically everything about VCS is still unknown, LCS got a massive jump start because of the mobile version leaving the DFF, TXD, DAT files, etc, just out in the open, even if the game didn't use them the files were just there for the taking thanks to Lucid. Where as us lot were manually going through thousands of files to give them their proper names, etc.

I haven't read every 615 page of this, so, have an update on this have been released?
Specific stuff on vcs:
Bike hit by explosion are no longer usable on vcs, keep in mind this was in vanilla vcs, so it should be here.

Some missions auto complete for no reason.

The crates on the mission "Boomshine Blowout" had no collision on vanilla, but do the fact they do on this version, the mission can become impossible.

You should consider putting the mod "Framerate vigilante" on this port, as timers on missions when using high fps go faster than they should ( i don't know if that mod covers that, but it has other useful stuff).

Is this version more like the ps2 version or the psp?.
I hope it has the extra content from ps2, but without changing the original psp content (like some rampages changing place, the landmine texture, the sniper scope color).

Again take in mind i have not read all 600 pages on this so i don't know if anything i've mentioned have been adressed/fixed.

what you havent read is that,the mod is dead for now as the team has no scripter.So no updates for now.IDK what they are going to do with this mod in the future,but hey all we can do is support the team.

At this point, even if a scripter came on board, the rest of the team, including myself, have moved on to different things in life, so it'd still be stuck at a point where major chunks of work are not being done.

@JKingXK0 this is ported from the PS2 version but was done as an enhanced port, like the Xbox versions of GTA3 and VC, of course we were going to include content from both versions depending on what fits best.

I honestly respect the work you and the whole team put time and effort in making the start progress of VCS port forΒ PC, but as far you guys brought this so far... I believe that this VCSΒ for PC can be done to 100% as well. I prefer and love the VCS story mode to play on PC more than LCS to be honest. It still crashes when I try to make some progress when I play VCS on PC dunno why...

So does it mean that it's completely dead or just on hold. I love this port and wouldn't want to see its demise, I don't mind if there is not going to be missions just a city with complete vehicle path, and peds path, all vehicle models, and all weapons

Writing missions is actually not that hard to do. Making them work, look and feel like the original on the other hand... yeah that's hard. You can't just CTRL+C, CTRL+V the code from main.scm and put it in GTA SA's file.

It is really a pain in the ass and so disappointing the fact that, GTA Vice City Stories.. which had a better story writing and more interesting characters than LCS.. didn't make it that far as Liberty City stories did for the PC version.Β It is really sad and makes zero sense to me that how come Vice City Stories can not go that far as Libery city stories did.. I just don't understand it.

Honestly, everyΒ GTA player and fan knows that VCS was the second version style of San Andreas.

Because the LCS PC project got everything "hidden" in the mobile version coming from the PS2 version as map files, models, textures, both things with proper names and even the mission script. While for VCS PC, stuff needs to be extracted, cracked, etc from PSP/PS2 with community tools that ain't that really effective and takes too much time. See previous pages to see the cracking only to get properΒ names for the models, is a lot of work and based on luck as well.

So, our last hope is that someday rockstar decide to releaseΒ gta vcs in mobile,Β which I doubt because the 10 yearΒ anniversaryΒ was several years ago.

For me, vcs has the best feature of the entire gta saga: empire wars, I would have liked to play it in the pc version, but well, we can't have everything in life
