Don't wanna get anyone's hopes up, but the big ass totally not re-purposed Single Player DLC update for GTAO contains these vehicles as extras:

That Sentinel is certainly looking based off it's VCS design. Then again could be a cruel joke and THIS is how Rockstar celebrates VCS :p

Hello everybody!

 

So i have started to play Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories PC Edition yesterday and i had a blast!

But today i have got a problem with the mod. And the problem is that the game freezes while playing.

So can anybody help me, i really want to continue playing this mod!

P.S. I have tried deleting colormod.dll and it doesent work.

A while back we mentioned that some SA vehicles would be included in VCS PC as a bonus, to which we got some comments about how they wouldn't fit, so here's just one example of how a San Andreas vehicle has been re-designed to fit in with VCS vehicles (ignore the window glitch, it's a material order thing):

That looks great actually. Doing some awesome stuff, wheels are sinking in the ground at the right ss but you probably are aware of that ;)

Just a brief change, redone the interior using more VC/VCS textures to complete the slightly cleaner look:

Funny thing is I'm doing textures for that one now, so sure when the model gets updated to reflect the changes we'll post a screenshot of it.

Windsor, Broadway will be fit in VCS atmosphere, I think.

Would love to see more cars with special features, like Imponte Insurrection Turbo XRZ5X2 with it's pop-up headlights, but sadly, ZR-350 doesn't fit the era, so what do you guys say about a fully custom model, like lore-friendly AE86? Luckily, it was introduced in '83, but I'm not sure if it was available in the US during VCS time period.

Great work, Ash_735! This hot dog van looks like it is original content. Taking about other vehicles, I should mention Buccaneer. It quite suits the game judjing by the vehicle's look tracing its roots back to 70's or 80's.

By the way, Ash_735, what have you decided about Vice City's Comet? I guess it's really good to have two version of this beautiful sportcar. VC's variant can be named "Comet Hetze" or "Comet 69" and so on.

Don't forget to thank CP, he's the one doing the grueling model work and bug fixes as well as working with my art direction.

 

We currently don't have anymore plans to add more SA vehicles, check out the vehicle list we posted as that's what we've decided on thus far.

I haven't checked this thread for a couple of years now. And I remember back in 2013 / 2014, the progress on this mod was real, and you guys were releasing updates every now and then. What exactly happened that caused you guys to stop working on it?

They are working on it again, I guess they just recently got back to the work. You should read the few previous pages.

Hitting a wall, real life work and relationships and the fact that manually doing a lot of stuff was getting tedious and annoying, then when we saw how stupid easy it was for LCS teams when LCS Mobile came out, we decided to get back into this, do some background and render work instead and work on what we CAN do properly whilst waiting for the release of VCS Mobile (which Rockstar don't seem to want to release).

I love this mod and I hope missions will be finished.. I would like to see more motorbikes, especially choppers, and maybe an option to modify vehicles

Why does it goes easier with a mobile version?

Because we get access to script symbols and such as well as get certain files in a much more readable manner with their proper names, tags, etc.

Getting map info is an ordeal itself. If not for IDE/IPL/COL, streaming world is so streamlined that much of the original data is removed, like texture names, faces that have no material applied to them (ever wondered by some balconies in LCS have no "floor" :p ?) ...

or has material but didn't have texture in txd. Like the invisible tombstones only on PS2
