Wait, MTA is LUA? Seriously? LCS and VCS Multiplayer files are LUA! sh*t it'd probably be easier to get MP stuff via MTA than it currently is trying to even get SP stuff done! :p

It uses Lua for gamemodes and stuff yes. Obviously some functions are going to be different.

MTA also has an excellent map editor that puts MEd to shame, the only issue with it is that it doesn't work with .ipl files(it uses .map files) they need to be converted first, and deleted map objects can't be converted obviously.

If you did MP, you should add the option to have the whole map in a death match, and a Free Mode option. But I'd focus on SP.

 

PS: I noticed in LCS and VCS MP that:

-Props didn't spawn.

-I couldn't spawn objects or vehicles with the cheat device.

-No car spawns.

-The animations were speed up.

Did DK update his shadow settings extender?

 

The shadows you got here look nice. But the shadow settings extender I got makes shadows on people and vehicles look pixelated, and slightly raised. It also makes the dark sides of objects flicker.

The code barely uses SSE's code by now, it originated from it and I overhauled it a whole lot. Still, the backbone idea and the main 'fix' allowing us to use them on vebicles is @DK22Pac's.

I've "nagged" him, maybe he was busy with something more important, be he just said "not possible to fix". Well, clearly it is fixable. Well, I don't know.

Eventually. Missions are one of the hardest things to convert. The LC project was the same way. Our map was virtually done in a few months, but it took 5+ years to get the scm to even a 90% state of functionality. And another 5+ years to get that last 9.9% right.

I guess it could be possible to do a TC ception.

 

The VCS mod is a SA TC, but has much desired engine improvements. Guess somebody could just make a SA TC for the VCS TC that is for SA. lol

this mod had so much progress happening in 2013, since then, it has barely moved ahead.

Don't worry about MP components, don't worry if a car has a non-functioning light, who cares if the hud is off-scale.
Little things like this can come later.

I'll just say what everyone else is scared to say.

Continue making the missions, just do them, cutscenes, scm, etc. Just do them.

This mod was started back in Feb 2010. 5 years ago, cmon guys. Not a single Mission done since Jan 2013 either.


I'm not saying I can do better, believe me I can't, but I am entitled to my own opinion and I strongly believe this mod will go nowhere if you keep worrying about the little things. Don't be offended.

While it is your opinion you'll have to learn that games - mods - heck, even the real world... they're all based on details. Little things.

I find it great that the team is putting so much focus into detail. That shows how passionate they are about the mod and the mod's world.

 

I'd fully agree with your opinion if it wasn't so tough and pointless to worry about the missions right now. Still, as I've said, you're fully entitled to have and express your own view. But I also understand the team's view and thought. They're actually hard at work but really, details, THEY take time. It's not for everyone, just like you've said, most people want the bigger things.

 

In my opinion, I think that the smaller things can turn the bigger ones over.
