is there any way i can help i can convert/make; characters, land, weapons, loadingscreens, sounds, some cleo scripts, hd retextures, hd icons (512x512 for game .exe)....

So help finalizing VCS map if you can - most of East side and West side is not yet finished

thanks for the gta3ps2.img ok i want to start rigging peds if its ok what peds are left :S

or if you want land more what land should i start with?

Peds are handled by Luten, so he'll tell you. What's more important is map converting (that, if you know how to do)

yeah i know how to convert mop parts import, then export as a dff and then add collision and make txd wink.gif

but i dont what MDL to start with any info?

 

edit also should i add it to the map with MapEd or should i just send the dff txd and col to Luten :S

Download VCS PC beta 1 and try to put your work in there. Like hackman does

Yeah, easier to just get the current BETA and then practice your work on that, and then send it off to Luten when you think it's ready.

the files are seperated in MDL files what number should i start with i only know the ped ones because they are in these forums i have the beta installed

In all honesty, don't ask me, I'm only helping out with some menu textures and audio. tounge.gif Best ask Luten or even send him a PM.

HackMan128 wow awesome! These screens almost aren't differ of original vcs on psp. However there's good difference for example on your screens graphic is a more bright and greate therefore this graphic part'll be much pretty than original analog.

I'm certain the radio textures are done from as far as I can see so throwing them here for people to see and perhaps point out any flaws. smile.gif

It's scaled down from the original 1024x1024 version, so that's why it looks choppy.

Perfect! I always digged those shapes in VCS website and you found a perfect place to use them. I think colors and everything fits perfectly.

For now unfortunately no. We can't convert animation from VCS because they have different format.

Thanks! I don't know about making a black version though, as I think it would be more in line with the actual VCS loading screen.

Sorry for quoting the entire thing but I only did it because I completely agree with Rokas.

 

This should be, without a single doubt, the official logo screen for the game.

Brilliant work mate, just one problem, the aspect size is way off, the way you've done it, is that the VCS logo and text looks normal at 512x512 (and 1024x1024) where as the game (by default) stretches these out to 4:3 resolutions, so you're really best of making these look normal at say 1600x1200 (a 4:3 resolution) and then scale it down to 1024x1024 to fit in with the texture requirements of the menu, that way, when they're displayed by the game, they'll look normal to other people and not stretched out at an awkward ratio.

 

Look at the original loading screen textures to see what I mean, specifically the logo, it is horizontally squashed from a 4:3 ratio into the texture size.

I only had the textures scaled at 1024x1024 because the game tends not to distort them at that resolution. For some odd reason, the game has been designed so that the width of the texture has to be equal to the height (for example, 512x512 instead of 512x256), otherwise the images will appear choppy. However, I did resize the logo screen to 1024x728, and it came out looking much better in-game aside from some slight choppiness.

 

I'll try it with some of the other textures (I've completed a set of menu background also), and I'll see what results better.

 

@Luten: Hah, don't worry, I just had them scaled down so they wouldn't stretch the page out on here. Also, you wouldn't have any idea on how to edit the menu font colors, would you? I'd like to try tweaking that, if possible.
