Anyway , i wonder , when will the vcs pc edition site fixed ? ( seeing as it unreachable or maybe offline now )

We'll look into it when Silent can fix his own Internet problems, website will be updated before we launch the next update, but of course, things have pushed that back quite a bit, outside of map work and fixing things and finding ways to improve the engine, there's been very little additional done to the game.

Very little addition ? What's that ? Missions , objects , cars , or maybe the pink-ish glow on pickups ?

That's the original, nothing we touched. :p That shot was mainly for the floor, walls, side unit texture, etc.

Very little addition ? What's that ? Missions , objects , cars , or maybe the pink-ish glow on pickups ?

 

Mission wise, only one more has been done, MAR_A4, MAR_A5 is causing a lot of problems for Silent because the hookers refuse to stay in the car, which is needed to progress the mission.

 

Objects, still missing some generics, but a lot of the map areas are coming off fine, we're good here.

 

Cars, we're good here to, changes need to be made to work backwards to adapt older converts to use the vehsare.txd system though, no word on who'll do that.

 

Corona glows, etc, was something Silent was going to do, starting with the money pick up, but again, distracted, and that got left out, so it's still not in the game. Any other features such as extending the timecyc or, stuff, yeah, just more things that have been forgotten and pushed to the back.

 

And that's literally it, we're lagging WAY behind proposed plans, the work on SilentPatch SA has helped the mod but also took a massive chunk of time away from it as Silent needs to work on that, get it working with multiple EXE's and stuff and then the lack of internet on his side, I've already split the donation money we got between Luten/CP/Silent but it wasn't enough to get the net back, and then he's had to mess with the bank and stuff setting up an account, etc, been a real odd few weeks, just glad we pretty much have the map done and East Island is pretty much remastered, just parts of Ocean Drive left to do.

ah , yes the internet and the silentpatch thing , no problem. anyway , i wonder will the corona glows etc. will be added in beta 4 ? since for me ( idk bout' what other people thinks ) , the corona glows etc. is one of the things that makes vice city stories , a vice city stories.

I agree with you the crown shining in money and weapons, etc makes the city of vcs the original. :yawn:Gta-vc_armas_mansion.jpg Its true and dont you remember about reflections, but this is quite modable only mith be a litle tricky but when you replace xvehicleenv128 with any picture and take down it brighten to ground level there are seen strange stripes on the hood or corpes of cars. Its good visible with Clover, looks like Enb, for glowing lights try to tweak some coronas texture - like sphere in pcfx,

For helis reflection is carfx1 texture viewed in particle but its too weak to be visible, only take efect on heli glass. Greetings and have fun :)

Every time someone mixes up Portuguese with Spanish, Silent doesn't get a cookie. Do you want Silent to not get a cookie? WELL THAT WAS WHAT I THOUGHT.

Ironic enough, considering it's a completely new language, Brazilian-Portuguese is actually the most up to date along with Polish, ANOTHER new language, yet the stuff that's already majority translated is just sitting on the side. :p

Registered on the forums just to report a crash

 

I was playing through the mission "Cholo Victory". Phil was shooting the cholo car and my game suddenly crashed when the cholo's car exploded - just at that very moment. It reported the error in .dmp but I don't know how to open it....

 

It says: Fatal Error (OxC0000005) at 0x0071051C.

 

Hell, this happens everytime a vehicle explodes.

 

P.S I'm new to this forum, I'm not sure if this is the right topic to report an error, please excuse me.

 

By the way, when are you guys releasing the remaining missions for this game (any estimated dates)? I loved this game on my ps2 and I want to play through it once again on my pc - with better graphics and much smoother fps than consoles :D

 

Also, is there any chance you guys could implement the original hand-to-hand combat or perhaps just the grabbing ability? I still remember I used to beat the crap out of anyone with that army style combat lol

Is your game up-to-date with the most recent build? Many crashes were fixed with updates.

lol strange. it's fixed now.

 

all I did is - turned off store gallery photos option, and capped the fps to 25, and then back to 60. very strange. now the problem is gone.

Just to answer your other questions before the others launch on you:

 

There's no release date or estimation for the next release. They're not working on more missions at the moment because the Empire Missions are a bitch. And the hand to hand combat is too complicated to implement at this point.

I just downloaded this game now and played it and all I can say is wow well done to GTA VCS modding team the game looks stunning way better than on PS2 with all the motion blur I finished the first mission had a look around and the game runs smoothly all be it for a low sound effects noise but i'm sure you guys know about this. But that's only a small issue the game runs flawlessly you guys have done an awesome job!

Just a suggestion - Fort Baxtor feels all empty. Could you please spawn some soldiers marching with rifles in lines here and there within and outside the fort with the next update? thanks

I don't recall soldiers standing outside in the original. Walking inside I agree.

This was the issue in VC that was fixed in VCS. Soldiers would spawn outside Fort Baxter and attack you even if you weren't inside the base. VC also had the issue where you would get a wanted level if you leave the Police Station.

They did attack us on VCS ? I Never felt like getting attacked by some soldiers on VCS ( PSP/PS2 ) you know ?
