Hell, VCS had a removed sidemission called Crimewave, maybe it'd work as protecting these stores against criminals?

 

I need to look up in the GXT.

 

You guys could add a ton of new sidemissions if you want!

GXT names suggest it was a mission in which you had to stop shoplifters, so it'd fit great. Maybe it even was supposed to take place in the mall...?

Anyone want to have a go at these ugly ass textures? And yep, these are the full sizes:

Some of these textures are familiar but I can't seem to remember where I've seen them, like the doors for example.

Actually fourth, that's all one long texture, so we can't just include a high res Phil Collins in there :p

 

Majority of textures are reused from Vice City and San Andreas, which is why the first couple, I think I've seen before, I just can't pin point where, in VCS it's used for the Italian restaurant in the Mall, which is incredibly low res (you're basically looking at the main textures for it right there, Wall, Floor and Doors.

Yep, Fleur de Lis came to mind first, though it's French symbol, not Italian. Maybe it was something less obvious.

So my guess is that the remaining textures are for the Vinyl Countdown?

With the exception of Sussudio, none of the other record covers jump out to me as actual covers...

 

I would recommend changing them to other artists' records from the in-game radio, but I know that you're trying to do a hi-res remake of the same pictures.

If we did go out and change them, this is what I'd do, as you said, use songs from the soundtrack, but only limit it to songs released as singles in 1984 (after all record shops would be selling the latest stuff), so it'd probably end up looking like this:

That from an older dev build, the FPS counter is actually quite unstable and displays the wrong FPS once you get into time cheat zones, the streaming memory thing was something we needed to keep an eye on because of an older glitch and bug in the game which would cause the map to just stop loading and leave any more of the map in LOD form refusing to load further. Those bugs are now fixed and we don't have those displayed anymore on our builds.

I remember Silent had a Coordinates Textdraw that was in a Dev-only .dll. I wonder what else that dll can do?

It's just a dev vcspc.dll build, and it depends on what we need at the moment ;) I usually turn off debug features once they're not needed anymore.
