Happy Birthday, Silent!

Ontopic: Do you know the first mission in VCS Second Island gived by Lance? That one where Vic needs to kill zombies in some seconds? If you finished the map, can you add this as a minigame? Keep up the good work.

This is a nice idea.

I was finally able to get the updater working with VCS on my computer.

I would like to report one bug I'm having:

During any mission, all 3D pink destination markers are missing. I played through all of the missions today and did not experience a crash.

For instance, the 3D pink marker that Vic Vance drives into in this clip does not appear in my game:

The only time these markers appear is when you are in free roam or in the ATV race mission.

I'll tell you something. Because of my low budget PC my San Andreas can't run any ENB series modifications. So it's what I did: I've entered the game mod folder and I've deleted the d3d9.dll file. Try this, maybe it'll work.

I forgot to add, that my computer is not accepting any ENB's or colormods or other stuff like that. But, let's not get off topic.

Sounds like an odd problem but we can't help you much from here, support for "Blue Hesper" has stopped and we're focusing on "Silver Palmetto" now, hopefully the bug isn't there for you.

Highly doubt there's much you could do anyway if it works for everyone else

I see. Unfortunately, the bug still exists.

Sure thing, here are two screens:

Before entering a mission:

During a mission:

[Note the destination on the HUD, but how the actual marker does not appear in-game]

My guess is that the model for the marker is missing or was somehow modified during an update.

I tried to play VCSPC on some old laptop (I think it had NVidia GPU). It had no textures at all, something like this:

screenshot4.jpg.

so I had to disable Colormod and it worked perfectly after this.

For some reason Colormod is extremely buggy, I have had a great amount of problems with it when trying to convert my own maps etc. Don't know why it glitches up though. :p

Well a REQUIREMENT for Colormod is PIXEL SHADER 2.0 MINIMUM, so if you have an outdated GPU that can't even support that, then yeah, you're going to have problems. It's the only way for now that we can do Bloom properly without the extreme mess and badly done way ENB does it. It also allows us to tell people to just remove it easily to, see we want to to do it native within the game, which would be cool and allow it to become an in game menu option, etc, but that would then FORCE this requirement even more and those who can't play with it now would end up being locked out as they won't be able to easily remove it.

Actually, no. Commandline arguments ftw.

EDIT:

Sure thing, here are two screens:

Eh, I guess we'll try fixing it after initial Silver Palmetto release. I have no clue what could be the reason. Any CLEOs installed?

Wait, if it's native and available as an option, how come we are forced to have PS2.0 when we can just turn it off (like removing colormod.dll)?

Thanks, but don't worry about it fixing it. :)

Perhaps if you could let me know which models are used for the 3D markers, I could just install and copy them from the last BETA.

As for CLEO scripts, I only have a reload script and an automatic car-flipping script, both of which have never caused issues in the past.

The thing is, it's the same model game uses for the markers you DO see :p
