Wow those screens :panic: btw if you guys can help pinpoint the issue , since that little 500kb update my game has been crashing every few minutes of gameplay, at 1st thought it was Ginput or disabling the frame limiter but then I removed it today and still crashed heres the link http://www51.zippyshare.com/v/79668639/file.html

What the s**t those don't look like scale model cars!

I lied, back at it. Whats the command to ignore game updates?

Taking a break from config edit, in the midst of a drift (powerslide) edit for the Insurrection, at first wanted to edit the bus (just because I could) and that's where I was crashing. If there's any way of creating a patch that uses a different file for handling (.two for example) that works with this mod, let me know, I'd be glad to use it instead for custom handling lines. The patch that came with the trainer i'm using doesn't work (only works with SAMP(?) or just crashes game).

Initially restored them only for the RC car, but I think we'll have to use them somewhat more, I love them :p

If they only were a little bit thicker than just one pixel, bending forward not only when Vic reverses but also when he decelerates or crashes into something and not twitching like mad without any reason, it would be amazing. Maybe you could use it somewhere else, like palmtrees really bending in the wind.

They do, their physics are relatively correct ;)

I guess they weren't present in the game so you had to rewrite them from scratch like pedcols? Or were they left over from GTA III?

I analysed VC code and rewrote it myself. Relatively easy though, but I don't get how the 'physics' are calculated, haha :p

Though you're still able to set their stiffness. Again, will they always be as thin as one pixel, or you'll be able to apply them to actual models?

Probs one pixel. I don't think it's an issue?

 

EDIT:

And their random shaking is caused by FPS stutter. For some reason I can't get stable 30FPS when recording and those litte things are very sensitive to FPS drops.

Good news for people with older PCs, Draw Distance now has much stronger effect - at lowest setting draw distance will be around as low as San Andreas one :)

Highest setting gives exactly the same effect as previously.

I am not sure, they were done as close as. But I'm not sure on the status now that the real ones are available but only in vc style.

WOOT "The Phil Bug" is fixed! How did you guys manage to do it?

 

Also, some bugs I noticed:

-Arrow above enemy car flickers

-Passengers in my car and enemy car stop shooting

 

If you guys are already aware of these bugs, ignore them, but I would still like to know how you fixed the truck stop paths streaming.

 

EDIT

Finished my Insurrection handling edit. The car drives unnaturally fast, but I like it. It reminds me of the first time I drove a Comet, like "Oh, look at this little car, its so slo- what THE sh*t!!!!!"

 

If you want the handling line here it is It's also my first ever handling edit:

I have to warn you that editing the handling.cfg will make the game think there is an update. It's a false positive. Before editing the file, make a copy of it so that you can replace any edited lines.
