Mission Bug: Boomshine Blowout: during the main crate moving part, the city is empty (no peds or moving cars). Also, when the timer runs out and the explosion happens, you die no matter how far away you are from the building.

 

 

 

Sheeit, I was swimming towards starfish island and I still got killed.

...How are you getting out of the warehouse, I thought we blocked that off.

 

And that's how the game treats it, Rockstar's work, to compensate for the heavy factory explosion, peds and other outside activity were turned off so the game could focus on doing that, they only re-appear for the factory blowing up scene. So yeah, if you get outside the factory, there's not a lot that will happen, and yeah, Vic's scripted to die no matter where he is when the factory explodes.

Umm, doesn't look blocked at all. I just climb on a box and the walk out. Or jump/climb over the truck. It's real easy.

The problem isnt the climbing at all, but the ability to get off the forklift during that mission.

Truth be told, I don't know if any of us actually tried climbing around in that mission, there was a bug where Phils Truck wasn't weighed down, meaning you could actually push his truck back around and get to the street that way, which is now fixed of course.

Which can also take you to Vice Beach past the gate on Starfish Island. No need to swim! Fun!

Although, you don't need climbing for this at all, just a strategically placed car and then jumping will do the trick.

 

 

Here, you have all the time in the world to shoot Marty.

Actually that's how R* did this mission. They leave more bugs than you would expect! tounge.gif

When they're fun bugs, I don't mind. It seems you can shoot Marty at any time while inside Verdi's and you won't fail. Which, in a way, is kind of silly when compared to Phil during Cholo Victory. I got the truck pretty banged up, so I drove into the Pay'n'Spray. As I forgot to brake, I smashed into the back wall and the truck started burning. At this point Phil jumped (or, as it appeared, fell) out of the truck and died and I failed the mission (meanwhile, of course, Pay'n'Spray closed the door and fixed the truck.... Grumble).

 

Fun fact: I passed the Marked Men mission! icon14.gif After I passed it I got the "Can you come over? We've got trouble with Marty..." message from Louise, but no blip on the radar. However, I believe you said D.I.V.O.R.C.E. isn't supposed to be unlocked at this time, so it seems I completed all the available missions. This mod is fantastic. Can't wait for the next update! The cars can drive through the road block (like the train can in SA), but the bikes can't as you can see by the two guys on the ground below the Warning sign. They're two bikers who crashed into the invisible wall there. biggrin.gif

 

Oh, I remembered something: when you start a Turismo race, or after you climb back on your bike following a crash (no faceplant?), the first/nearest checkpoint is not shown on the road, only on the radar. The subsequent checkpoints are then shown on the road as well. I don't seem to recall races in other GTA games behaving like this. Bug? Feature?

Ash, you've done a great job configuring colormod to VCS PC Edition - it reproduces very well the original PS2 atmosphere. I'm not asking you to do this, now or on the future, but I'd like to know if you can recreate the atmosphere of the PS2 on the original GTA SA using colormod. I know this is totally offtopic, but do you think you have skills to make it sarcasm.gif ? SA graphics on PS2 are just the best (IMO). Oh, I'm waiting for Silent's fix for TTDISA too (not pressure, Silent. I know you have only 2 hands LOL cool.gif ).

Second, guys, I don't know if someone had this problem and it was already resolved, if so I'm sorry. When I launch the game, it freezes for 1/2 seconds when the Rockstar logo is showing, when the song starts and so on. What's the problem?

Edit: Oh and my weapons disappear everytime I start a new mission :v

Well like I said earlier, bor BETA3, pretty much all colormod settings are disabled now except for Bloom, Vice City doesn't have Bloom so, i don't know what else to do, the guys over at VC Recover have done a fine job of porting the timecyc.

For what it's worth, I replayed both missions several times today and observed the following:

 

Truck Stop: Phil doesn't drive into a wall/building/tree/whatever if you seize the truck before it makes a left turn behind the building with the Mal Viento shop (the one in front of which you first see the truck). In this case, when the mission continues, the truck respawns in front of that Mal Viento store (facing away from it), and Phil manages to to avoid all buildings on the way back to his depot. If you seize the truck after it makes that left turn, the truck respawns elsewhere and Phil drives it into pretty much the first building he sees. Sometimes he may begin sliding along that building (trying to make a turn) and continue driving if there is no obstacle when he runs out of the building (after one such case he was clearly unhappy and nailed a tree shortly afterwards, but I was able to push the truck away from the tree with the car and eventually passed the mission).

I also noticed that sometimes the second or third car of attackers was spawned in such a way (facing a building or away from me) that it didn't give chase.

 

Marked Men: the game crashes when I kill all the attackers first and then try to drive the truck out of the courtyard (the crash seems to occur about halfway through either alleyway). However, if I leave the courtyard first (pushing either stallion out of the way with the truck) and then get rid of the attackers (some follow me out of the courtyard, some tend to not find their way out of either alleyway - they keep running into the wall), there is no crash and I can drive back to Phil's depot.

Try Bandicam. It destroys Fraps on FPS and size.

Well ive been thinking, and i think there is somthing wrong with LOD's. Even on the lowest draw distance i see high quality buildings very far away. That might be the cause of the FPS lag on slower Pc's.

San Andreas had very crappy Draw Distance.

 

We've simply updated it to handle the draw distance VCS is suppose to have and to properly cache it, ...so yeah, if you're used to SA Draw Distance, this can be roughly twice to three times the value depending on the weather.
