This glow is because the option "trails" is enabled in the ps2 version, just leave it "off" is not standard brightness.

I guess some vehicles like StreetFighter are still handmade instead of reconverted? Because their wheels are way too smooth.

Nope, converted but smoothed out since the SA engine can handle them properly, our wheels also use higher res textures, yeah, bet none of you noticed that!

@the picture:

I hope the devs dont make the game that blurry or with that much bloom because it just ruins it. As you can see, not only the arrow has a lot of bloom. The game is fine as it is right now (PC version) in what touches to blur.

Or they could just blur the arrow a little bit, but not the whole game else it'll suck.

Nope, design choice, most 1970s and early 1980s Monster Trucks used a pickup shell, so it's done to fit the era.

No, I mean it uses model you visually recreated. But now you're able to get proper models from game archives, so it might be a little bit different from Rancher we have now.

In that case I'm not sure at the moment all vehicles are being re-edited and checked by CP, it looks right in the game now (also if you have a trainer, spawn both the SA version and ours to see how much it's changed tounge.gif )

Maybe I'm speaking not as clear as I want. I just want to say that current VCS Rancher (and Sasquatch) are handmade. When City_Poke gets original Rancher model from VCS archives, it might be a little different from what was modeled by eye. But never mind, it's just minor something…

I can confirm it's NOT strictly the original Rancher model, it's a hybrid, we had to edit it to reduce it's size so had to do custom cut outs for the wheels, the models it's using are the Gang Rancher (Original) and the Monster with some parts stolen from Bobcat.

While we are at it, I'll repeat my question since it got drowned between the bug reports

 

Can you please check again the FBI Rancher you created? It somehow does NOT work in game, both VCS and normal SA. When one is spawned either via 5 stars or a trainer, the game crashes with a "[appname] has encountered a problem and needed to close"

 

At first I thought the dff/txd were made in a way that only VCS PCE can read, but some reports claimed that it also didn't work in VCS, either

Vehicles have been checked and some re-done, so if it was causing a crash, it probably won't now, you guys won't know but we have some stuff fixed, just waiting to bundle it all together and take some nice slow time with this one to make sure things don't screw up.

Ok so can we expect some new updates soon...like scm/vehicle/weapon fixes...and can u pls enable the d.i.v.o.r.c.e mission so that we can get the trailer trash attire cause those 2 attires are getting boring...

I never said soon, I said we're working on one, don't say soon, soon = like a day or two to most people, we don't want people bitching at us asking for a patch we never promised would be out "soon", No, I just said we're working on one, it will be a large-ish update as it covers pretty much most vehicle stuff, and a few map edits, etc, but we're taking things slow with this one so we can chill out and just make sure everything works. Rushing out updates causes problems, like that little vanishing weapons problem.

I see...well you guys know what to do...but can you at least enable the mission i asked u about...at least until u are ready with the other things ???

i have the answer the team work's and Scripting mission's take a long time

so wait next year for 10 or 15 new mission's

kakarotte (ka-ka-karrot cake) please don't answer our questions, we'll be trailing missions at some point, but the current ones need to be fixed and completed first without issues.

The missions are passable. I my self have passed them. But my concern is, as you fix one mission, does another one screw up? Basically if I were to start a new game I'd experience issues where I didn't have them on the older beta.

 

Some people are being impatient because they want to kill Marty lol.

 

But I wonder what will happen when I do get more missions. My concerns are:

-Can using old saves cause bugs.

-What about my progress and stats? You said that by completing all the content available your progress will be 100%. So that makes me wonder if the progress meter will ether adjust it self to the new content, or get screwed up and go above 100%.

-Luise paged me to stop by. I know that this page is supposed to open up the mission D.E.V.O.R.C.E. I hope this isn't going to mess up and make it so I can play the mission before beating the last two Marty missions (all available at the same time). After I beat the Marty missions I wonder if I'll get the page again. If I do, is there a chance that old saves would get the page twice?

 

I'm sure I got nothing to worry about as you guys will make the best happen. I bet the rebuilt scm structure will allow you to make it so I can play the Marty missions, then Luise missions, and I'll get the page, and the page I got before, it would be like it never happened. I wonder if back in 2005 when Rockstar released the Hot Coffee patch if the saves still worked. I remember save compatibility issues with the different patches.

 

Edit: As far as mission conversion progress goes, bet you that if the team keeps at it, it will get faster for two reasons. 1. Before there were delays because the scripters sometimes would have to wait for models necessary for the mission to be converted/modeled if you go back to Beta 2 and before. 2. They get better at doing their thing, so they will become faster and more efficient.
