I bet you dont know about this bug - when playing ,,Cholo Victory'' when you get Phill to the hospital and when you attack the Cholos...when you destroy their car,if you get out of Phill's pickup truck and get back in it it makes you go back to the hospital and restart the whole thing instead of to the Pay'n Spray and when it makes you go to Pay'n Spray there is no Pay'n Spray icon anymore wink.gif

IMPORTANT: Guys after i got the latest update I started the game from the beginning and played all the missions wihtout saving the game in the safehouse...now I dont know if it is thanks to the update but I didnt have a single crash of the game ( thats why I was able to pass the missions without saving the game ) and everything was ok...now the only problems I noticed were:

 

- The bug with the ,,Cholo victory'' mission I mentioned above

- The known bug with the truck in ,,Truck Stop''

- Each time I started or completed a mission I lost all my weapons...

- When I get in the helicopter and I jumped off it I have a parachute but it wont let me open it as if i dont have one...

- Destroying Martinez's bike before getting on it in the first mission doesnt restart the mission which makes it unpassable...

 

If your work has made the game not to crash then well done guys...keep it up !!! You are doing great !!! smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

Sooo... BETA 3 is out. Whats the plan now after bug fixxing? How you gonna solve the mission chapter 2 problem?

I think the pager is making the radio stations crash (when it goes mute).

 

As for the radio stations skipping sometimes, it could be when a radio part ends. I know that SA Radios were divided in 3 parts, while VCS is a single audio file.

Perhaps the skipping problem could be in the system failing to select the part properly?

 

And yes weapons are disapearing. If it helps, they disapear when you start a mission, so i guess you should look for the bug there.

Again, it's an SA Radio Problem, yes, it's less noticeable there as you said, every song has three parts, but the skips do happen, instead there, they cut to commercial or Station ident instead.

 

Here, they skip to the next block closest to the time point which could be forwards or backwards. Each Radio Station here in theory, is playing a specific amount of long songs, with multiple parts, and then set to repeat that on a loop. So when a skip happens, it can't go to commercial or ident, they don't exist or are limited to a specific slot (e.g. Commercials will only be used on Custom Track Player).

 

To demonstrate it in SA, go to the pause menu, Audio, go to Radio Station, find a song playing that you know really well, now skip back and forth quickly between the stations constantly only pausing on that song briefly, after a few moments you'll notice the song either restarts or jumps to the end before quickly cutting to commercial or ident.

 

Why does it happen, no one really knows, can we fix it, probably not, the game is already being told exactly how to play the radio stations, we can't help engine playback bugs.

As a repro of Truck Stop also have it but when I turned on frame limiter at 30 FPS, surprisingly it did not appear

One way to fix it could be using the method applied in the other GTAs from III era. A unique file for each radiostation.

That would mean editing or removing the current audio stuff by SA which probably is a pain in the ass to do.

You guys should write in the first post all the bugs that are already reported so people could know that they dont have to report it again.

I agree with Uros12...all we are trying to do is help you and besides - it is you who told us to help you and report if there are bugs so I dont know why are you so hostile...edit the first post and tell us of all the known bugs so we know what to report...we are only trying to help !!!

I missed this post earlier, basically we appreciate the help, but if you could just read back a page or two to see if the bug has already been mentioned, that would be great, it's just slowing us down everytime an error gets flagged and it's exactly the same thing we already about.

Hey, what vehicle does the red, white, and blue plane use? Spawned the AT-400 but it was the San Andreas version.

I noticed that earlier - loading a save game retains your weapons but once you start a mission they are gone, only the one you picked up after loading the save remains. At first I thought it's because I'm using old save games, but looks like it weren't the case here

Two minor bugs:

1) Vic loses all his weapons when starting any mission.

2) When in vehicle, SMG and similar gun isn't chosen automatically as drive-by weapon.

If loads from a savegame, he will only have the weapons he last picked up, all saved from the savegame are lost

The good point of this behavior is that devs know it does not happen to a single person, so the problem is most likely to be fixable through coding and not on user-end side.

 

So I personally think that people should report problems they have if they're not fixed or not said to be in progress smile.gif

Maybe...but the team said they know these errors...so unless they havent been reported its pointless to keep reporting the same bugs...besides they said they know what to do,so lets leave them to do it smile.gif

 

EDIT: Just tried out Polaris V8 - an amazing car biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif just like in game !!! Well done guys smile.gif
