Because the drive by AI has been improved A LOT, enemies doing drive bys in VCS are a lot faster and more precise, so naturally, if that dummy tank was still there, they'd be aiming for that right away and cause you to blow up. tounge.gif

How do the AI in general compare between VCS ans SA?

As explained above, the drive by animation fire rate is a lot faster, they spray bullets like mad, and with the stories games, the enemy ai tends to be more accurate and tougher, which was the case ith the stories games they just threw you into the tougher missions right away, I mean right here, "Marked Men" is annoying for me, one screw up and that's they total the truck and the mission fails, but that's how the mission is! In code terms they just have a higher accuracy rate and agression.

Ah so, the AI code is the same. But some aiming and fire rate stats have been raised in VCS.

 

 

I take it you guys have already modified the AI stats and whatnot to VCS standards then?

The AI in VCS is the same in VC. See the mod "parkour to VC" at gtagarage, download and when swimming, press shoot with the uzi, the fire rate will be the same as VCS, meaning they just enabled shooting from car by actor as default, using the original VC AI.

Looks like there is need in some extra work on this one:

* wrong position on screen

* wrong proportions (too narrowed)

* wrong font outline

* no translucency (at least this feature can be optional)

Your own setup is the cause of this. Your display mode is stretching the screen. Try different resolutions until you find one where proportions are accurate, then make a comparison shot. SA doesn't have the ability to adjust aspect ratio, so you gotta find a proper resolution that actually matches your screen wink.gif

 

To full see what is happening, get in a car, orbit the camera where you're looking straight down at the roof of the car, and start spinning the camera slowly. You see your car warping, that's the stretch on the screen wink.gif

The HUD is going to be reworked, we stated this enough times, the adjustments were made BEFORE aspect ratio control was done, sadly no one has seen Silent in a few days so nothings been fixed tounge.gif but more peds and vehicles have been done.

Vehicles (and peds) are being done in a complete random order, so, most military stuff hasn't shown up.

That applies to Luten (vehicles/peds) and you (peds). CP on the other hands, has been converting them in order cool.gif

I see both Marked Men and Takin' Out the White Trash are wip, why you do 2 missions at same time? Is marked men done, but just the peds missing?

Marked Men as a mission IS done, just the Peds need to be asigned to the correct one and the boomshine barrels need to spawn in the truck, that's it.

Glad to hear. As for boomshine blowout, it could use a little of "Robbing Uncle Sam" code. I'm new at SCM coding but that's the best I could think of. Also in this mission the crates gets attached to the truck.

If there's no custom camera, we are (obviously) screwed.

 

And besides, this is a VCS ''remake'' so they always try to stick to the original stuff (so that means a ''yes, probably'')

I would not worry about that. Silent can convert stuff from the original SCM, so there's no need to use SA missions as a base. The thing is: it's a boring and slow process (at least it was before), that's why it takes some time.

And about your ''ideas'' on how the mission would work, you better leave them to Silent, I am sure he knows what he's doing, like everyone else on these mods.
