Detail Maps or textures ,whatever just FTW! Yeah, the original quality is crap and if my friends would see me playing this, they would think, that I play games from 1990, so do whatever you can to enhance the original look and features. And of course I love the progress speed too. smile.gif

This really happens. I've played so many of the III/LC missions so many times that they bore me as well sometimes. Which is why I use my flying/time traveling DeLorean for most of them. ph34r.gif

Well, I'm considering joining the project and converting more of the map for Beta 3, if the team is alright with that.

If this happens, I don't expect my progress to be as fast as Luten, CP, and Hack Man at first, because I would need to get used to their tools.

Besides, let's say we DO go with your option, what would me and Silent do? We're not working on the map (well I'm bug testing the map) but, speaking for myself, I don't really have any modeling skills, I've worked on the outskirt stuff, timecyc, textures, menu stuff, etc, we'd have nothing to do really if it was just focused on map and map alone. tounge.gif

I remember you are in charge of Audio conversion whereas Silent is in charge of programming. You two could use the extra time while East Island is being converted to work on mission audio, sound effect, porting VCS features, etc... - that works dozingoff.gif See how I had to insert VCS sounds to BETA2 myself and people all believe it's there already? dozingoff.gif

They planned it, and it will probably goes the way it is planned... Sometimes changing a bit could require a bigger reorganization later to know what is left and what need to be done before this or this.

I have an idea, which can improve graphic in VCS PC. This effect may be included, but it depends of you!

Insering this into gta engine requires default rendering pipeline editing (and some adaptation for Rw & DX9, too).

Also, MTA has detail mapping shader in shader examples, so that's a much better example.

I don't think that the recrucation is open for now. Otherwise the info would be told on the first page.

Reminds me of when I was playing VCS on my PSP when my UMD drive broke, before the models would be invisible and it would do the trippey model streak effect from seeing under the map. Happened on both GTA's and another game too. I have to get a replacement PSP because they decide to just break. However the one I got now doesn't seem to do it, plus its got custom firmware so I use modded ISO's, which might be less strain on that poor UMD drive.

Speaking of, (I know this is a long time from now but Ill ask anyway) after this reaches 100% completion, do you think you may port LCS to PC? If so, which GTA will you use (VC or SA)?

I already know it is being done but after playing the demo, I feel that the LCS PC Edition team is changing way too many things for it to be original LCS. Yet I do think it will be great, their not bringing the original Rockstar title to PC.

We're not apart of any LCS PC team, we have enough to deal with with VCS PC. We actually don't need any help at all with the map now, focus will now be shifted onto vehicles and peds once all map targets are met.

I understand that. I meant after VCS PC is 100% done are you planning on doing your own LCS mod? The LCS team isn't doing original LCS, but their modified version. But I already now know that you guys just want to do VCS.

No. Anyway, I never liked Liberty City (apart from 2008's LC). We ever don't know, how many betas we'll release.
