Great work, team! I've got a question about weapons: will you use original stats from weapons.dat of VCS?

It isn't important now, but later, who knows smile.gif

You referring to Katana rampage? I've actually changed the needed kills from 25 to 13 (!) in beta2, otherwise it would be f*ckING impossible. Now it IS possible to finish it, just grab a bike. Worked for me.

Why is it easier to finish in VCS?

In VC/LCS/VCS you need only one-two cuts to kill anyone with a Katana, while in SA you need even up to 5 cuts.

I got one issue I would like to find some fix for. I downloaded Beta 2.0, installed it on clean SA, but the mod isn't starting. There is of course "welcome window" with title, but nothing happens after that. When I click on the window it simply dissapears.

 

I've not found any fixes in ReadMe nor Google. Any ideas?

Don't click the Window, that's SAORS, which is needed for the Radio. You said you installed to TO a clean San Andreas? As in, you've installed it where your San Andreas is?

I've installed it in different folder and in next step I selected folder with clean SA just as it is stated in ReadMe file.

Well you guys could edit the weapon.dat and make it more like VCS. But do you guys think you might be able to port Vic's fighting combos to the mod? I think it should be possible in SA.

 

But anyways, if you edit the weapons to be VCS like, please for the love of god don't f*ck up the chain saw. The game's chain saw had all the fun taken out of it. On the PSP, I remember it didn't work too well, but on the PS2, the sounds came out right. I don't remember how the damage worked though.

I'm talking about vehicle destroy, specifically Molotov and Equalizer. It takes forever to destroy a car even though it's parked there and I lob like 10+ Molotov onto it (Then how can you do so when cars keep running away?). Equalizer isn't one-shot kill and with manual aim it's just impossible to get 25 Cholo kills in Little Havana. One time I use the Enforcer to block the road, get like 7 cars stuck and bomb them with one Molotov - they run away burning, none explodes. Even with the cops coming in I still can't get 10 cars/bikes destroyed within 2 minutes, not to mention dodging bullets all the time even with full armour and health

I suppose, that the problem is in the original SA weapons.dat etc. So, when it will be replaced with VCS configurations of weapons - the problem is solved.

My laptop died 3 days ago so I can't seed (Even if I have the mod installed on both computers x) ). Just wait a bit or configure your client confused.gif

This is why I insists the team working on weapon.dat a bit. Silent worked hard to make Rampages available, so don't make his effort goes to waste confused.gif

 

And also Silent, I have no problem with changing rampage condition, but I'd prefer fixing weapon stats so the Rampages work exactly like it's in VCS. This mod aim to make it as close to original VCS as possible right? biggrin.gif

Wouldn't it be better to just finish the first island and its mission instead of both islands, since second one isn't reachable on game start (If like all GTAs?)?

There are still a lot of things to deal with for missions to work properly (Including GENRL bug), so I say focusing on maps/vehicles/ped would be better.

Not all GTA's anymore have island unlocking. EFLC and CTW don't. It makes me wonder if GTA V will have it.

 

Anyways for those starting school, I'm the one who you should feel bad for. School started for me two and a half weeks ago.
