I bet that's what they will show.

 

That should mean that map progress should go much faster now. But I wonder if they will convert the parts that they modeled.

Because with MDL Importer, it dosen't read map models, they don't show. Isn't possible, (Well it is, but the GTAStories team have their own secret tool. Which they won't release or give to anyone), and secondly, they do it. Because even though it looks the same, the map is way better. turn.gif

I have that 'secret tool' to open compressed LVZ/IMG and extract files + Import into 3ds max with MDL importer.

 

It is by XEPOMAHT, Stories WRLD Tool biggrin.gif

Yes it's that one. I know that XEPOMAHT uses a very updated version, but I was able to restore some models of LCS and VCS with this old version.

Let me get this straight, it's useless because people would also need the special 3dsmax importer, right? Or does it export a format that's already readable?

I find them very hard too, but until few days I thought that these ped colors are IMPOSSIBLE to do too.

There are two gta mdl lmporters. One is made by ak 73 but has less features than this one made by xepomaht (i think).

lol yup, although i think i'd replace "multiplayer" with "every vcs sound" but that's unlikely due to the GENRL bug.

Great achivment man. You gonna give any info about how it's done? Personally i don't care if you didn't release documentation about how you did it, just interested in a "dumbed down" version of what you've done to achive it?

Not in the next build sadly, whilst I DO have all of Vic's sound extracted, the problem isn't with them, it's with San Andreas! tounge.gif Because San Andreas doesn't seem to give an indicator to response triggers what by CJ's emotions, I'm blind attempting the files, and there's a good few hundred files fr me to go around and basically play the long and boring matching game, if San Andreas arranged the files like it was in every other GTA game, we'd probably have it done already, but no, once again San Andreas sound engine has to be awkward. tounge.gif

Silent's done enough tounge.gif But I can say he has plans for something Audio related which won't appear in this BETA, which will give me more things to play with.

The result is pretty simple - it utilizes exactly the same technicue which is used for vehicle colours. It wasn't that easy to do like it sounds now, though tounge.gif

Nice. i didn't expect the "material can be colored like a carcol" kinda setting would be possible to work in a ped dff, good work on proving that wrong. biggrin.gif

 

Gotta question, judging by the speed you guys script a mission and animate the CS for it: how long could you estimate it would take to get every mission done? If that will even happen? Also i suppose all the time it takes to add all the other features would have an effect on it too.

 

I've said it before and I'll say it again: this mod is absolutely gorgeous, IMO it's exactly how R* would have done if they ported VCS to PC. The attention to little details you guys have is hard to find in another mod, and I simply love it!
