Vice City map mod

my OpenIV works perfectly, it installed map mods fine, San Adreas is one example. my VC map mod use to work but now for the past 2 weeks it breaks my OpenIV and makes me have to reinstall. anyone know a fix or a way to get it to install VC properly?
