I only go out to run errands for seniors to scared to go out themselves, and I go out a maximum of 3 times a day on foot too the two  small plaza's near my house, sometime's I only go  out once a day, my errands take me 40 minutes to do because of lineups or lack of cashiers open at the grocery store, the lineups get longer after 4 pm when everyone get's off of work, so I try to have my errands done by 3 pm, I always wear a masks and keep my distances

I do what I can to prevent this virus but I am exposed 24/7 to it since I work as a roadservice driver. Most people dont use masks here in florida unless they need to go indoors.

What a wonderful way for me to start my Winter break, both of my parents have just tested positive for COVID-19, despite literally doing everything we could to avoid getting it. Even better that the entire two weeks of quarantine will practically take up all my Winter Break, including my 18th birthday. I was actually about to transition from my permit to a license on the 22nd by taking the test, and now I have to reschedule it to literally the end of the next month. Looks like 2020 is ending with a f*ck you for me. 

 

I honestly thought I'd go this entire pandemic without catching it, guess I was wrong.

There are multiple different variations of COVID-19. The one which seems to have first appeared on or near the Island of Sheppey in the Thames estuary is most more contagious and passes much more easily. Scientists are checking that the current vaccine being deployed as well as the Oxford vaccine will still work. It should work no problem. 

 

It's always a risk that a mutation may become more deadly and contagious as well as not being effected by the vaccine. In that case its back to square one. But we are not there yet. 

 

The flu vaccine given out in the UK covers what is expected to be the dominant strain and its around 50% effective but it does make a difference. A COVID-19 vaccine is  much more effective. 

 

The idea that the police can police the level 4 stuff is laughable. Im sure a few will be picked on while any blatant breaking of the rules by anyone rich, famous or in the goverment will get away with it.

Well it's not that the virus has mutated in different countries it's mutated into different strains in general as most virus's do in order to survive the strain that is going around now is different than the one that was going around in july and that one was different than the one going around in march and so on just like humans virus has to adapt to survive but unlike viruses we can't mutate.

So my daughters and I are under quarantine once again, Last weekend I let my youngest have a little sleepover for her 10th birthday since we can't do a real party and before I okayed everybody I talked to all of the parents on the day of the party and they assured me they nor the girls hadn't been around anybody with the virus and nobody was showing symptoms three of the moms even showed mom had shown me a negative test their daughters had gotten for another reason.

 

So yesterday I get a call from a contact tracer to inform me that my daughters and I have come in contact with someone who had tested positive and I knew exactly who they were talking about as soon as she spoke because I haven't left the house all week, I knew it was either the one mom who walked her daughter into the house or the one of the girls who slept over they were the only ones I've been in contact with beside my own kids.

 

So I called the other parents to talk to them and inform them about the phone call I got and of course the first two mom's who gave me the negative test weren't the ones who were sick, the third mom I called was the mom who had walked her daughter to the door and had come inside for a few minutes and without a mask of course so I made sure to stay more than 10 feet away from her, As soon as she picked up the phone she is just hacking up a storm and confirmed she, her husband and her son were all positive. I was starting to feel bad for her because I had the virus back in march and I knew how bad she was feeling until she dropped this gem on me when I asked was Mark showing any symptoms last weekend before you dropped ----- off?.

 

Yeah, Mark had a bad cough all last weekend but we just assumed it was a bad cold or something but he went to the doctor on Monday and they did a COVID test and it came back positive, whodathunkit y'kno?

 

I would've especially if you're family doesn't wear mask (I have no clue if they do or don't) but even when I go into somebody house I still wear a mask even if i'm only there for a few minutes

 

Took everything I had not to scream at her for not telling me about that, as much as it would've hurt me to say no I would've told her she couldn't come to the sleepover, I might've even postponed it if my daughter really wanted her there that bad but to lie to me just so your daughter can come to a sleepover and possibly get 6 innocents people sick is just stupid, Because of this I'm not sure i'll allow them to have a sleepover with more than one person anymore until this pandemic is completely cleared up and if I do I might require a negative COVID Test no earlier than 72hr prior to the sleepover.

My brother and his wife spent some time with his mother-in-law 2 days ago and today she has been tested positive. Brother has helped around aunt's house and visited us today, might have infected 3/4 of the entire family including me, though luckily not our grandparents.

 

I don't care much for Christmas Eve and all that family get-together sh*t, but this ain't good

If possible get tested within 5-7 days from now that is when the test will be most accurate if you are indeed infected even if you're showing no symptoms as it can take up to 14 days for them to appear to as little as 3 days

 

Yeah man this Virus is screwing with everybody's lives my daughters are really upset, They knew we weren't going to grandma's for Christmas this year as she lives 2 hours away but they're upset that the cousins on their mom's side and they won't get to see them five or six times a year but they haven't got to see them since last Christmas and now they won't be able to come by at all to visit for Christmas because of the quarantine and by time the 10 days are up they will have gone back to Missouri.

 

We're trying to find a way so the girls can at least exchange their gifts with each other, I guess what I could do is pull the car out and put a few chairs and space heaters in the garage with a table to eat at and have them stay in the garage and we'll stay in the kitchen area so they can still at least see and talk to each other, other than that I don't see any other way to do this

We already have our own mutated virus, no need for it to travel here, Which is one reason why the virus is killing so many more people and even faster now than it did just months ago.

So now it's changed to radio active chip? I'm disappointed that sounds low tech. I thought they would be nanosize robots enslaving the entire human race by controlling our thoughts.

Anyway I'm still wondering how they deliver the chips to the right spot in the brain, because with current technology we don't even get our normal post packages delivered always correctly.

Got my COVID vaccine at work Friday morning! 

 

My right deltoid where they gave the injection hurt for a couple days. I experienced some mild tiredness, body aches, and a dull headache for a couple days as well but I often feel that way after my yearly flu vaccine so it didn't seem too out of the ordinary.

you will often experience those side effects with the vaccine or any kind of vaccine as they are very common.

Yes, I am well aware of that fact. I have been a Registered Nurse for twenty years but thanks for the info.  

 

My post was simply meant to inform others who may be interested in getting the vaccine when it becomes available to them of what side effects to expect. While everyone is different, those are pretty standard side effects. 

 

Some of my colleagues experienced similar, others felt nothing at all. Unless you have a history of anaphylaxis, you should expect to be fine.

 

We had to sit in an observation room with a crash cart for 30 minutes after getting the vaccine. I felt pretty safe.

Do you need two shots of that?

 

I thought the Pfizer one required two injections one week apart or something?

Sure do, but it's 3 weeks apart. I have a "proof of COVID vaccination" card that states I'm scheduled for my second dose on January 8th.

Just watched a documentary called 76 Days it followed the doctors and nurses in Wuhan treating COVID patients i highly recommend watching it if you can find it and wish we could force deniers to watch it to see just how horrible this virus really is.

Which won't happen it took this long to get $600 which is a penny in the pocket of most as rent for most people is between $800-$1,500 a month including my own but at least that $600 would've made a dent in helping to pay it and given me an extra $600 for the month

I'm getting more anxious around people now when I have to wait in a queue because of the faster spreading coronavirus. Also been confirmed it's in the county I live (Lancashire). If only people followed the rules so it had less chance of becoming mutated. I can't wait for tier 4 restrictions.
