It is possible. We all know that Covid massively bursted out in China first.

That does not mean it started in China, they've examined blood samples in Italy taken months earlier in Summer 2019 and found traces of Covid.

It's possible because same has happened earlier in 1918.

Spanish flu broke out in Spain, but it started in a military camp Kansas USA.

You know why it´s called spanish flu.

The spanish news were the first reporting about this flu. While the nations in war (First world war) did not want to report about a mortal flu to not demotivate the people even more.

Estimated 20 to 100 million people died at that pandemic.

What do these ladies think they are radios? Do they think covid transmits via sound waves? Via car stereos?

She said she doesnt wear a mask EVER. So she doesnt go inside any type of indoor place either. EVER. There is no place I know of that accept not wearing a mask.

nothing around me except people wearing masks and mainstream media tells me I am living in a deadly pandemic....

just an excuse for more control, more tracking, less freedoms, vaccines and an economic rest

Damn mate I feel so sorry for you. Being forced to wear a mask in a store must be the first and foremost infringement of your liberties. Your plight is nothing compared to those around the world who are forced to work a whole day or those who are sent to concentration camps for not cheering a regime hard enough. They all salute you for being a brave freedom fighter.

Look at that, Japan's plans of do nothing and hope the problem goes away is not working. Covid beds are fully occupied in Osaka, Aichi, Hokkaido. Near full occupancy in Tokyo too. But worse? Not enough doctors or nurses to staff hospitals, so even if they increase the number of beds, they won't have the personnel to manage them. For months the writing had been on the wall that sh*t would get tough in the winter, and the government did absolutely f*ck all. Worse, they incentivized people to travel and go to restaurants in order to "save the economy". f*cking hell.

I wonder when this is gonna end. I am pretty sure all of us had enough of it. God and time will only tell if we ever recover from this. I'll be 35 years old by then.

Fun fact, The Spanish Flu is though to have originated in the U.S as the first known case was at a military base in Kansas but the likelihood of that actually being true is slim, as Scientists have said the most likely case is that person most likely picked it up in either the U.K or France prior to returning home to the U.S after his tour in WWI was up and brought it back with him to the U.S.

This is a good lesson to remember if you ever become a whistle blower to make sure to make copies of everything and store them to an off-site server with an encryption key with a billion year guess so that they can't gain access too it even with a warrant, or make sure the server your using is in a country that doesn't recognize U.S Material Warrants.

According to a PW Checker A similar pass I for my family and I personal information and documents would take 6 tredecillion years to break as its a combination of 32 numbers and letters, while it looks like a bunch of random numbers and letters it all makes sense to me and no, I don't have it written down anywhere

Next nation wide full "hard lockdown" is right on the way in Germany. Last official numbers were: 30.000 daily new infections (highest value ever), 600 daily covid related deaths (highest value ever).

Reports say some intensive care units at hospitals are working on maximum capacity and there is no space left as to run the next full hard lockdown, "soft lockdown" is way to soft, politicians/"experts" now say.

Means:

- Extended curfew (penalty for leaving home without reason, only reasons are basically: single-outside-sports, work and buying food)

- All schools closed (closed before and probably after official holidays - as beeing a child I would find that great, regardless of covid)

- All shops closed (apart from medic care and food supply)

- All activities shut down (mostly effective already)

- Harder restrictions for distancing (this will also cut down/cut out familiar meetings during X-Mas and New Year, two separate households max. allowed with max. four people or something like that, underage children excluded)

- Total prohibition of fireworks during new year (that's not totally new)

- Total prohibition of serving alcohol publicly or drinking

So yeah, this will be the most sh*tty X-Mas I can remember since... all my life.

FDA approved emergency authorization for the vaccine here.

This sh*t better work it better be a complete vaccine it better not be rushed and unfinished and require a day one patch and then multiple patches.

Got my positive test result this afternoon. Not being able to smell anything is a strange feeling. Aside from that the entire thing has been pretty mild, like a strong cold.

Trump administration really f*cked up in only ordering 100 million dosages and then denying the offer to order more even after being told they wouldn't be able to order any more until at least June or July from one article I read they assumed the 100 million dosages would cover 100 million people even though Pfizer have made public statements prior that the the vax require two dosages per person in order to work at it max protentional but then again I shouldn't have expected anything less from the Trump administration anyways.

At least we still have the Moderna and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines as long as the Trump administration hasn't told them No, Thanks when approached only 39 more days until that clown is out of office.

News closer to home death rates are steadily climbing day by day yesterday we had 7,426 we're going up about a 1,000 death a week now back when this first started despite having a Republican governor we were quick to go into a statewide shut down which helped stem the tied and we had very few deaths only 5 or 10 a week and this went on for months until the lockdown was fully lifted and the weather warmed and then our numbers started go higher and higher but even then we still weren't on pace with Florida or Texas but no we're quickly catching up.

Last week my county went Purple which means we're not suppose to go out unless it's for food, work or medical and all hospitals are canceling electives including my pain management doctor who canceled my ketamine infusion and i can't sleep because the ketamine helps keeps my restless legs under control at night.

The worse part of me about loosing my sense of taste was I couldn't taste my salsa. I usually eat chips and salsa as a snack every day and for almost a month after all my symptoms went away I still couldn't taste anything

Funny you say that. It was a jar of Salsa that made me realize my sense of smell was gone.

Thankfully I can still taste things but they are a little "off".

You're lucky i guess you could say, As I had absolutely no sense of taste or smell at all I probably could've eaten dog poop and never even realized it

Can you still taste sufficiently? I was tested positive in October for Covid and I also lost my sense of smell and taste but if I was to have a can of coca cola I could only taste the sugar. Once you recover you won't get your smell back for at least weeks/months, I only got my full capacity of my smell right at the end of November but even then for a peculiar reason I still can't smell my piss or sh*t when I go to the bathroom or if I have a stomach bug/diarrhea I still can't smell my sh*t. Its very mystifying.

Its 1 of the 3 predominant and one of the most bothersome symptoms of Covid-19.

Heh, Most people would consider that a blessing not a curse and fresh urine isn't really suppose to smell my friend the only time urine has a smell is after eating certain foods such as asparagus and medical conditions such as being diabetic but someone who doesn't have any underlying conditions really shouldn't have a strong urine smell but doesn't necessary mean anything wrong could just mean you're not taking in enough water

At least you don't get a stuffy nose or sneezing or any of that crap. The loss of smell is very bothersome, though. We often take sense of smell or granted. You never really know how important it is until you actually lose it.

As expected -sadly- this now became official: Full "hard lockdown" in Germany from Dec. 16 until (at least) Jan. 10.

Was walking home from work on Thursday and some random guy told me to take my mask off then something else which I didn't catch (might've said it's just a flu).

@PicklePrick Bet you some of my farts will fix your nose. Sometimes I can't stand my own farts.

Even if it was a flu or a cold, who is he to tell you to take take off your mask? God forbid you don't want to catch a viral infection.

I've met a nice English man today at the pizza corner, we distantly talked a moment about covid and... Brexit. He's living/working in Germany for many years but I loved to talk in English with him. Wouldn't be necessary but still like it to train myself. I told him how crazy the EU is, although we both disagreed with the Brexit at all, but look: England is already working with the vaccine and Germany is tidy with the holy "EU reglementation" for giving the vaccine a go NOW. Burocracy! How I hate that! What a polite man it was, old school English man FTW I ever thought. But man, this f*cking burocracy... that's the same f*cking burocracy which ends up in EU laws telling people that a cucumber cannot be importet because it doesn't have the correct shape. Whaaaaaat? The only cucumber shape I'm interested in is my own cucumber, Mister EU law, understood? That's when I go hating the EU myself because this is not about cucumbers, it's about a cracking health care system and people's life.
