@sivispacem @Zello I don't think I have the patience to cut my own hair, and knowing me I'd miss chunks at the back because I've never cut my own hair, and being slightly ocd I'd probably cut my head open going over the same spots over and over again with no clipper attachment on because I like my hair cut to zero. Plus my arm clicks just combing my hair so the thought of cutting my own hair fills me with dread. I'm just going to wait until there's a week of zero uk deaths from covid before I get my head shaved.

So our neighboring state has gone back to EXTREME LOCKDOWN because there has been 20+ confirmed positive cases from what I can recall recently and because of this it has started round 2 of Panic buying, one round of panic buying was already selfish & stupid but a 2nd round... gee we don't learn from our past mistakes do we?

I seriously wonder if the people part of the panic buying are the same muppets who still have their 30+ packs at home their still yet to go through.  I want to say if you're part of the problem then please do society a favor & go f*ck yourself.  There I said it, couldn't have said it better.

History is repeating itself & it isn't very bright.

I bought myself a clipper machine, drimming sides and neck is quite easy as long as you have a good mirror and like a look going into the direction of this:

Nice second wave hotspot they got there. It feels like a lot of people act like the whole virus has been wiped out.

Clippering your own hair to a fixed length requires absolutely no care or skill, I'd just do it myself if I were you.

Wouldn't go as far as saying "no care or skill" but I agree with the sentiment :D

I'm going to have a massive afro by the time I get a haircut. Not worth dying to get it all shaved off. I'm even scared to buy a sausage roll from the bakery.

I've cut my hair twice now and even gave myself a gradual fade. Admittedly, the first time I did it, was just shaving back and sides, leaving a bit of a mop on top. It turned out almost perfect. I got lots of compliments on it. Second time, I botched it (in my eyes, other half says different) because I did it in a rush. I do have a nice Wahl clippers that I picked up for 12 quid on sale in TK Maxx. But it's a weighty and professional (enough for a home DIY job). You can buy that clipper for £25 and good to pick up some barber's scissors as well.  For around £30, the price of 2 haircuts, it pays for itself. You'll only get better and a better at doing it.

I might just do my hair at home now. Maybe got to the barbers when it gets a bit out of hand or a want a professional refresh. But 15-20 quid a month of haircuts adds up.

And keeping the spirit of the thread..

I went to the city centre the other day. Ordered my first Burger King in about 6 months. It was takeaway only. Beautiful sunny day. Sat out, ate it. It wad the busiest I've seen the centre. But people were eating and walking and just doing leisurely things again. Visited my friend, we hung out and then late at night, walked through the centre and was a ghost town. Amazing the literal day and night difference. No convenience or grocery shops open late, and of course all the bars and restaurants that make up the nightlife population are shut.

Rant: why don't people wear masks at the shops and if they do why don't they pull it up to their noses? This is what I witnessed at the store today, 75% of the customers didn't wear the mask correctly and like 10% of them didn't have a mask at all. And worse of all was one family. The mother had a mask (she didn't wear it correctly of course) but not the kid. Is this how you want to raise your damned children?

I live in a mask friendly area.  Even on the breakdown I saw today my region is wearing masks the most.

If you don't wear a mask you'll get looks.  I wear a mask.

Here is the problem...and it is a multi fold problem.  I've been riding motorcycles for nearing 40 years and I ride a large Harley.  I'm a solid left leaning Democrat.  I live in an ultra super progressive neighborhood in a pretty progressive city.

There is no helmet law in my state but I still wear a half helmet.

So when I'm seen on my bike now all people see is a dude with no mask on a large Harley.   So embarrassing.

Beyond belief... A bit of sun & thousands decide to flock to the beach in the midst of a pandemic. Imagine what its going to be like when the "one metre plus" social distancing rule is put into place. People aren't taking heed of the two metre rule, so it'll just be worse.

If I see loads of people out tomorrow (uk) after lockdown easing when I go to work I might lose my sh*t. Even more if shops decide to reduce queues to 1 metre instead of keeping it at 2. Might have to fart to keep people away from me.

Menstrual Deranged

The bars here in Michigan opened up and within a week, cases started going up. In one specific incident, nearly 80 people have tested positive and they managed to trace it back to one guy who went to a bar in Lansing while he was symptomatic. Patrons were not wearing masks or abiding by social distancing protocols. The guy then had a party at his house after going to the bar, infecting more people.

Reading social media comments, there are many trying to blame the uptick in cases on the BLM protests but I don't know. Most of the protests I saw, nearly everyone was wearing a mask and staying a reasonable distance away from others.

Yeah there's some crazy denialism going on in the US. At this point the government has made a collective decision that trying to prop up the economy is worth the mounting death toll and people are using that as justification to be f*cking idiots.

The true number of deaths in the US as a result of Covid-19 is probably in the order of thirty percent higher than the official death toll too.

Yeah, it is a mess here in the states.

The White House didn't deliver the correct message to the people and with the political atmosphere the way it is here... it became political.

People are stubborn and even if they know the simple things like wearing a mask and distancing works they aren't going to do it because they can't be seen as being wrong...and they sure don't want to look like a Democrat.  Just stupid and f*cked up thinking.

I've been home since mid March and as of yesterday it feels like we are almost back to square 1 here.  What the f*ck!

There is a simple answer to some of The States issues;   remove the "entertainment" side of politics.  Everyday civilians have made following "politics" a large part of their daily lives.  That is kind of a new phenomenon.

If I end up with coronavirus in two to three weeks then it's probably because I f*cked up at work today when I was wiping the string for the toilet light and splashed a bit of water from the cloth I was using in my eye. I'm hoping because it was laced with cleaning spray that it killed any virus on the cloth if any, and that nobody where I work currently has the coronavirus. Until then it's just waiting and losing my sanity. I 'ate 2020.

@trip so people are willing to die for politics by not wearing a mask? Lmao!

Arizona Doug Ducey is stupid.

He put a stay at home order on March 31 and lifted it on May 15. That's 1.5 months of that order and now 1.5 months after that he's putting another stay at home order.

That dumbass opened the state too early and now we're back to starting it over. We could've been in a better situation if the state had that order going since March 31, 3 months.

He still thinks 30 days is enough.

Thanks, Dumbass Douchey

I'm convinced that someone got to the governors.  Here in PA our governor was adamant on our opening plan and how it was based on case count reductions.  We were on the right trajectory and we were a couple weeks away from reaching the target numbers that would have let us open (safely)...then out of nowhere our governor came out with an opening plan and the talk of the original plan using math was never mentioned again.  It was weird...people were like "huh"?

Here in Phila our mayor is useless but at least we have a smart health director keeping things groovy.  I think we find out today if we go to the green phase next week.  We are the last county in PA to hit the green phase.  Fun fact;  Philadelphia is the only city that is also one county.

Bit tired of seeing people freak out about government making it compulsory to wear masks on public transport. The level of sensationalism from some YouTubers referring to masks as a "face-burka" and symbolic of a muzzle to repress free speech by the powers that be. All the comments of people whipping themselves into a frenzy thinking it's the start of some Orwellian dystopia. Incredible.

People now believe it's some sort of conspiracy "to control the masses." Yes, nothing like controlling people and killing them and putting a workforce out of action and sending businesses under. Because these evil governments love paying out welfare during this pandemic and not getting a working populus paying their taxes.

I'm sorry but people are f*cking dopes. What we need a truther-friendly pandemic, one where low-IQ half-wits like to get cosy with as it some "conspiratorial virus anyway" issued by some nefarious outfit to just to control you. Probably spread by chemtrails. But in reality it's a virus that's spread by tricking these mongo-dim-wits in to contracting this fake virus that turns out to be real. While the everyone reacts to it by taking precautions, the ones that flaunt advice contract it and the population loses a few million morons. Kind of like controlled and accelerated Darwanism.

Yeah, they are really tripping on that. Once she brings 5G to the table you know she makes a convincing argument and that she must be an accredited know-it-all . And when she calls them insane when the crazy idea emerges that kids should wear masks at school, topkek

When people starting using "waking up" as some sort of revelation to prop up their argument and appealing to God as a logical, credible thing to do, I switch off, lol. Again another person displaying gross misuse of the word "literally."

I don't know if the people are getting stupider or if the internet is just better at highlighting stupid people.

Don't forget the anti-vaxxers that believe the COVID-19 vaccine is funded by the evil government and corrupt world leaders and likely will contain carcinogenics and other harmful chemicals that could lead to cancer, neural defects, autism, etc.

"Stay away from the vaccine they're trying to force onto you! It's highly toxic, they want you to take it!". I even read a comment by someone who claimed that you're better off contracting viruses, no matter how dangerous or damaging, because your immune system will fight it off, and it is all that you need.

The immune system will eventually be trained to deal with these viruses, and after contracting them, you will be much more healthier and be immune to the viruses. Vaccines are man-made and cannot be trusted.

^^^Never have I heard this much bullsh*t in all my life. Even though the immune system is effective at fighting off some viruses, it can't deal with them all, especially the more deadly ones. Why do you think we've had pandemics that killed hundreds of millions?

They think the immune system is perfect and is all that you need, and therefore disregard modern medicine that has proven to be effective time and time and again. It honestly sounds like your typical pseudo-intellectual religious garbage. The body is perfect; it's a gift from God. Ignore science, it's all man-made.

Ridiculous. Millions of years of evolution for this?

I've gone from feeling like an idiot budget Sub Zero to feeling like I need a mask when at work or going to the shop now. Only time I don't wear a mask is at home and walking my dog, or walking to work if there's not a lot of people and I can walk around them on the road.

Also China has the plague now.

It is unlikely to turn into a epidemic anyway, and unlike COVID-19, we have effective treatment for the plague. Back then, we didn't.
