That's because those causes of death aren't infectious. What a f*cking quack. He's like those young people who are mad that they can't party, hang out with friends, go to clubs, etc, so they throw a hissy fit and come up with the most nonsensical reasons as to why the knockdown is stupid.

Here's another thing that's infectious: stupidity.

As far as I know a lot of countries in Europe are already planning on relaxing the restrictions. Denmark plans to open schools if I am right. I think they are rushing it.

Full lockdown cannot be lifted until a vaccine is developed. Social distancing, less time outside, etc. is still important. Life won't return to normal for another year or two.

From what I have read Germany is planning to open the schools from May for seniors while Portugal plans to open cultural institutions from early May. Feels very early. I don't know on what they based these decisions.

God knows. Trump has even said that he plans to lift the lockdown within the next month and open businesses and the like again.

Daycares, kindergartens, school children from 0 - 5th grade and 3rd year high school students have returned to their institutions. Parents can decide whether or not to take their kids to daycare/kindergarten. 3 year HS students have reduced amount of exams and 1st and 2nd will graduate to their next grades based on their year grade rather than without attending exams that can improve their grades. Sucks if you slacked throughout the year.

There have been a lot of controversies of younger children attending their institutions, as children are obviously not as cautious regarding hygiene and social distancing. The national guidelines for prevention of spread will remain, and some schools will even try and teach outdoors as much as possible.

As of April 20th, smaller businesses and clinics such as hairdressers, psychologists, tattoo shops, cafés, spas, dentists etc.will be allowed to open up again.

I personally think most of this sh*t should remained closed except our health care clinics within psychiatry, dentists, psysiotherapy and such. Everything else is non-essential and most private businesses get stimulus checks from the state so they can open up after this sh*t is over.

I really don't agree with the decision about schools, daycares adn kindergartens. Like the remaining ~2 months won't do much and I assume Denmark has better infrastructure for distance teaching.

Indeed. Within primary school (0 - 9th grade), it is easier to plan and alter the school curriculum. Changes can be made for the following school year, that will assure they get to catch up for what they haven't learned. There are no purpose of sending children to daycares except their parents being able to return to work.

3rd year HS students do however need to return. The last 3 months of school are vital, as a lot of subjects are taken up for repetition and exams are being trained for. I really feel bad for these f*ckers. We have a culture of celebrating our final graduation with our fancy graduation hats, partying, visiting each other's homes on a decorated truck etc. However, I am not for one second in doubt they will meet up in masses anyway, breaking the law and spreading the disease.

Damn 4th year HS students are getting screwed over here as well sort of. They are planning to hold the final exams as normal but with less students/room and no oral exams. Now no need to say that these guys probably are not able to properly prepare for them in these conditions.

About this virus or whatever. I heard this thing have no effect on children much, is that true?

No, that's not actually true. There's a 3 months baby infected by it and the baby died.

I've started to think that there are so many misinformation spreads around, for example if you're in hot sunny weather, you'll less likely to get infected since the virus dies. At the end of the day, the virus still spreads fast. That's why I always do my research based on the cases around the world, see if there's anything I could do to prevent me and my family from being infected.

Ah. Well if I had to make an idiosyncratic guess, I would guess that's somewhere around South Texas, probably Houston.

Could be anywhere in Texas or The South to be honest.

How does the US have so many deaths? 40,000 already and there's evidence it's actually much higher. Australia, for comparison, has seen 70 deaths. At first I thought it was just population density (Sydney is very open and sparse for such a massive city) but America is also very rural compared to Australia. Is it the lack of healthcare or are people there ignoring quarantine or what?

These are both significant factors, as is how late to the party the US was in actually shutting things down in the first place, implementing testing measures, et cetera.

Our president originally called it a hoax.  Didn’t do much until it got worse, and now his moron supporters are ignoring the quarantine saying they are having their “rights” taken away, whatever that means, and the president still thinks it’s going to “miraculously” disappear.

so here's a bit of insight i've wanted to share from where i'm at currently.

  • 8,261 cases confirmed nationwide with 686 deaths, 89 cases and 12 deaths in my state.
  • Classes are cancelled for obvious reasons, been resorting to having online classes in the meantime. We just had a 2 week break due to easter celebrations which is mandatory. My uni says online classes are gonna be until the 30th of April but honestly seeing how things are going we might just end the semester online or do a whole repeat of it.
  • People in my city are being pretty careless about it, not wearing face masks or anything really and going outside with others despite the situation. While the local authorities are trying to enforce a stay at home order it's not really working out that well.

I just want this to blow over already but with the way people are acting about it it's just not gonna happen, such a shame.

People act the same here. They even said they aren't afraid of Coronavirus, they say there are still no death case in our city so why should we afraid. I think I've lost like a million of my braincells just hearing what they said. It's really a shame that there are still ignorance people like that in the world. We already have 3000+ cases with 200+ deaths and they still act like it's just a normal day with no threat whatsoever.

And don't even get me started on the ones that think there is no virus at all. So yeah, hundreds of thousands have died either from some fluke or haven't died at all, and their deaths have been faked, the symptoms hundreds millions of people have experienced, or are experiencing (myself included), are just in their head, millions of schools and businesses have closed for nothing, and the government is risking a huge economic collapse for no reason.

Okay, got it.

I honest don't think this virus has brought us closer together. Everywhere I go on the net, it is argument after argument. "This lockdown sucks, let granny die and let's get moving" "I hope protesters contract the virus, are denied healthcare and die" ... just opposite extremes going at one another. And then if you say one thing subtly controversial, prepare to get jumped on like white on rice (did happen here once, erm not pointing fingers). I have been very content and patient with lockdown measures and restrictions and stand by their effectiveness. But I also am open to discussing numerous concerns regarding them as well without accusing someone of being a selfish alt-right clown who should die... lmao. Jesus, I mean, it really is headache inducing stuff.

At first it was just stupid stuff like whining about folks going out for walks and stuff that would bug me. But now I am seeing some genuinely concerning, hateful stuff.

I think it's not about the virus. It's about the lockdown because of the virus.

There are pros and contras, many people said that lockdown is the way to go, while the others daid that lockdown just make us suffer even more. Personally I think lockdown is the best. Less chance of us getting infected. People tend to overreact with this, just because they can't meet with their friends or take a walk or anything they usually do in public.

Don't get me wrong, I do miss seeing my friends' face and vibing with them, but I don't want to take a risk getting infected by a virus that has killed more than 150.000 people in the world. Because of lockdown, I also have many free time to play games, so it's a win-win situation for me.
