Infinite loading screen is definitely not fixed. Stuck @ 90% once while trying to sign on, and then twice on trader sales we got stuck in a black loading screen after completion so we lost everything.  A third time we completed the sale and it said the buyers were killed and again lost everthing.  WTF R*?

I very much recall, way back, before the game was even out, that I said I'd pay no dollars for a shed or something like that. and that cash would be only invested in a tent etc....well....that was then!

landlord role yo! first let me get a foot in the business, let me shoot my way to the top and gain control of most properties scattered throughout the old west, and then at rank 20 let me choose a spot for my own permanent homestead. let me waste goldbars so I can design my own home, interior, furnitures etc.

[March 9, 2020] – General / Miscellaneous (PS4 / Xbox One / PC / Stadia)

  • Improvements to issue with endless loading screens when performing some actions in Red Dead Online such as switching between game modes and sessions
  • Improvements to issues seen when pitching camps through the Player menu, resulting in a flashing prompts and an incorrect “Cripps has packed up your camp” alert
  • Fixed several networking issues that should reduce the chance of player camps being packed up during dynamic session switching in Red Dead Online
  • Improvements to an issue that caused pitched camps in Red Dead Online to not spawn correctly when approaching the marked blip on the Radar / Map
  • Fixed issues with player horses and riders being kicked off while in Posses
  • Fixed an issue that caused player horses to be frozen in place and unable to move when other players are nearby in a Red Dead Online session
  • Fixed several issues with some player horse visual attributes such as cleanliness not being correct after dismissing and re-summoning in a Red Dead Online session

Glad they released at least these--time will tell which ones are truly fixed.

 

In R*'s defense, their devs probably aren't thrilled with having a new platform (Stadia) to have to fix bugs on in addition to the usual three. Even if the code fix is similar for all four platforms, they still need to be tested.

I haven't been on to see if it's true, but that frozen horse bug has been a thorn in my side for some time so I'm happy to see them work with it.

What worries me is that there is no mention of further improvements to animal spawns. I really hope they don't think they've "fixed" the issue already.

Funny, today:

  • my camp was on the map but didn't exist.  Nothing, just empty space.  2 other "other player" camps I rode by were the same--on map but not actually there
  • horse disappeared after going inside tailor in Blackwater.  The icon was there and the menu to interact with him and the saddlebag popped up but literally no horse
  • animation stuck when cooking meat at Valentine, had to reboot game because I got stuck sitting in front of the fire with greyed out options

I'd give the update an F minus

I had a moonshine dynamic event glitch on me last night.  Moonshiner camp at theruined church in Bolger glade.  Blew up the still and killed them all but the reinforcements never came.  


So I had the ‘kill all the enemies’ message at the bottom of the screen and was locked out from engaging in any other activity.

 

Had to change sessions. No infinite loading screen - patch 1.19 is a success.

Still got a few infinite loading screens when pose leader started a stranger mission and I got black screened twice to teleport to the starting location. Also the odd disconnect. Bugged mail delivery that didn't register the last drop, and a trader sale that would not count as delivered till my friend changed posse to defensive mode in the drop off spot.

 

Best thing was we managed to get a solo lobby that lasted a few hours after a starting a Jailbreak mission, which happened to be the one to throw me into the infinite load/black screen. Gonna be on the lookout for more of those missions, see if they keep working so well for solo lobbies.

The camp is back to it's previously intensely broken state: disappearing on it's own and when it does finally appear it's only the map icon, no actual camp props.

And very few animals, if any at all.

Great.

 

On the plus side, now my character is wearing the correct lance knife (purchasable after ranking up collector) instead of the standard hunting knife.

That's a first.

It was working yesterday now today back to infinite loads while swapping sessions tonight.

Call me stupid and inconsequent, but I reopened the game to see what the current patch has possibly fixed. Have to try to judge, right?

 

 On the main fully loaded character:

- camp issues seems fixed when spawned at load in, although loading in with 'Camp' option is still not good

- animal spawns, still close to non-existant

- switching lobbies works!

- switching camp locations...., shouldn't have tried. Camp gone, no new pitch.

- frustrating sessions most of the time.

- patch doesn't seem to be doing anything, besides lobby switching.
 

On the 'has nothing' alt character:

- Camp spawns well, pitches anywhere else almost instantly

- animals by the load, all sorts. Enough to become an annoyance sometimes.

- switching lobbies works, camp locations too

- haven't seen a bootlegger dynamic event all evening
- had absolute trouble free sessions.
- no difference noticed, besides bootlegger events not spawning this evening.

 

This has been my experience every time I switch between characters, apart from the bootlegger missions not spawning for my alt. Main has all, gets nothing spawned. The other has nothing, gets everything spawned. Both accounts running from the same hardware/connection. 

This is too consistent to be coincidence. Guess which one I play now.

I had a bug yesterday during the bootlegger mission where you escort a patron to his house. While taking him there I encountered enemies that were part of another player's encounter that were hostile to me. The patron jumped off the horse as I fended them off and afterwards he just kept slowly walking back to Valentine where I found him. Nothing I could do would make him follow me. The mission became impossible to complete so I had to intentionally fail it. This pissed me off because the bootlegger mission cooldown still went into effect after the mission failed.

I think it is worse for me now than it was before this latest update/patch.  I'm having more trouble just signing into the game for the first time.  I've gotten stuck @90% loading several times.  I'm also constantly getting an error when trying to sign on(error 500000something).  The trader sales are REALLY messed up.  We did 4 trader sales and only one actually completed.  1st time we completed it and it said the buyers were killed(they weren't).  2nd and 4th time we got stuck in black loading screens.  When trying the join a friend trick to get out after being stuck a while, it put us in permanent cinematic mode and we never got paid and all goods were lost. My niece plays with us lately, and she can't even join our posse because she gets disconnected every time we start a bounty or sale, granted she is using wifi so her connection isn't the greatest but it is perfectly good for us to share play or play any other game without issue.  Oh, and having more issues with camp spawns too.

This update also makes me crash like 3 times before I be able to actually start playing great job Rockstar fix one thing f*ck ten things more.

I noticed since this update enemy bodies despawn really fast, and I'm playing in solo lobbies.

This patch did exactly as much good as the previous 2 patches. Nothing long lasting at all. I'm starting to experience the same problems on my second character now as well. Camps not being spawned, other than an icon on the map, or it gets packed up for no apparent reason. 

Animal spawns dropping like a ton of bricks on both accounts, whereas the second account had tons of animals before this morning. 

Whatever they fixed wasn't a direct problem. The things they've done "improvements" on, simply work as bad as before. If this continues like now, this game will resort into a cesspool of bored griefers, having nothing left to do that works other than shooting other players.

As a PS4 player this online mode feels more like that it is for next gen of consoles... Now days I see and hear most alligators when selling shine and I´m interested if some programmer here can explain why we see more animals when selling!

For whatever damn reason, my xbox system update and this patch are  downloading at around 11-15kbps.

 

On my 100/40mbps landline and on my 4G phone.

 

Just downloaded a 9 gig patch for sea of thieves though in about 10-ish minutes prior.

 

No idea what the heck is up. A submarine crash into the undersea communications cable off Australia again??
