Bro Im playing on vulcan whole time.

The last drivers 442.50 and 442.59 break up the performance to all games and not only the performance they cause a lot of bugs, just try some older drivers!

I'm the lucky one. No performance/crashing issues so far.

Hi.

Is there a way for me to either turn off the rain or reduce the amount of rain and how many times it rains in a day. I am on Xbox one in Story Mode. It has only been a problem for about 3-4 weeks, it was not always like this. The almost constant raining coupled with the thick fog either white fog or black fog has ruined the game. The superb game graphics are what convinced me to purchase rdr2, and also many friends and family members of mine brought the game after seeing how great the game graphics WERE. But over the last 4 weeks the amount of rain, fog and sandstorms have ruined the look of the game and the enjoyment has gone. Its hard to notice what the graphics are like now because visibility is so poor. The best way i can describe my gripe is like this. " before the almost constant raining began " even if i did not feel in the mood to play rdr2, but loaded the game anyway, i was immediately engrossed and would end up playing for hours and hours, day after day and loved every minute of it. But over the last 3-4 weeks the poor visibility has left me and others frustrated. The difference now is, when i really look forward to loading up the game to play it, within a very short time i wished i had not bothered. I am at 93% game completion and really want to get to 100% . But trying to complete the challenges and various tasks and the compendium now is very daunting and very unenjoyable.

You don't have any problems because you are playing on DirectX12.

Given the fact that both games and GPU HW/drivers are developed for APIs, I am sure that almost all of the game's problems are ultimately the result of Rockstar's poor coding. My understanding is that almost all games--especially post-2007 PC versions and ports--contain code that is incorrect and/or does not conform to the API. The real problem here is that Rockstar is clearly not serious about addressing the problems and delivering--however belatedly--a quality product.

But to get to my point: If you are both using the same API, is it possible that your conflicting experiences are due to some other factor, such as a different OS, or NVIDIA vs AMD?

Make a camp, do craft on grill and rain will immidiately stop.

They make the games in this way purposely!

There is two reasons about that, the first reason is the sale of the pc hardware and the second reason is the extension of the life of the game, when you buy a new/future hardware and play the game one more time on ultra settings with all possible "patches" and "fixes"!

After months, I'm still not able to play the game with Vulkan. Does anyone have this similar problem? Works fine in Dx12, but I'd really like to try Vulkan for those performance improvements. sh*tty RGSC just won't launch in Vulkan.

Error in question is "Social Club failed to initialize graphics device. Error code: 18".

I'm having an error saying "Verifying game ownership failed and your offline activation data could not be loaded when launching Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC"

I've tried cleaning local data as their support website says but still doesn't work. Reboot my pc, still not working.

What the f*ck

I had this issue sometimes. It has something to do with my router. A simple reboot fixes it.

If it appeared with the new NVIDIA driver and didn't happen before, maybe it's not Rockstar's fault there. :p

With new nvidia drivers black screen is appearing.

For me it was blackscreening during Alt-tab. I had to revert back.

Did NVidia fixed their drivers with latest updates? The previous two had fullscreen issues on Vulkan.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just see this morning there's a 200 MB update on PC/Steam. Anyone know what that is?
