Survival Creator - Enemies won't walk on or into props

Hi guys,

 

In the Survival Creator, I can't get enemies to walk on or through props, and it's driving me nuts!  If an enemy has a melee weapon, you can walk inside a prop like an empty container and stand near the entry, but they won't follow you in.  Containers, cabins, nothing in those categories will work.  Ramps work, which means the issue must be with certain categories of props?  It's frustrating, because the enemies happily walk up stairs, climb latters etc., but placing something as simple as a police checkpoint is treated like an impassable roadblock?  I've tried a few tricks, like lowering the bottom of open containers to just below ground level, but no luck.  Anybody have any ideas?

I've had this issue before. The only way it worked for me to make them go through containers/railway carriages was to block off every other way for them to get to me. It's a bit like Meth Lab Survival. If you block off the stairs at the back with the boat, enemies won't climb over it. But if you block off both the stairs with the boat, and the front of the shop with containers, they suddenly figure out how to climb over the boat and get in through the back door. This AI is just selectively dumb.

Thanks for that.  So you literally have to block off every alternative exit?

Just make enemies be professional, perhaps they will also charge more often?

They only get more health + more accurate shots if you do that.

NPC's do not have paths on props, hence they remain still.

 

The same happens when testing LTS, Deathmatches and Captures.

Setting enemy ability to Professional is important to achieve this, but it doesn't make it happen all the time, or even much at all. I have used standard building blocks (not tried Neon ones yet) set at a 45° incline and had enemies ascend it the very very odd time.

Yeah, it's odd.  I've found the AI can navigate some of the non-Stunt props well, like the sand bag fort barriers?  But if you use something like the stunt race building blocks to build walkways or whatever, they won't touch it?
