Ahmedmfroezspeed 283
The best GTA protagonist EVER MADE !! All of us agree that Claude is a psychopath, right ? He's got lack of empathy, guilt, and remorse, he's disloyal He work for anybody for his advantages He kills without any hesitation or remorse,he literally killed everyone around him, and everyone he worked with, and he ain't got a tiny problem with that Yeah, he's a complete psychopathic killer without any emotions... And he's the most "good looking" Protagonist in the series His only problem is that he's isn't a part of any gang, but I'll pass that, for me I'll give him 5/5 stars This is the best kind of protagonist, man How about you? What do you think of him ?
ClaudeTheMan 58
I think he's the man, brutha.
Jeansowaty 6,165
I don't like him. Too egoistic and full of himself. According to my girlfriend he's meh in appearance too. I just don't like him. He along with Toni and Michael are my least liked protagonists in the series.
LCLegend 593
Cool dude. Manipulated all the gangs, made millions, killed millions, and got what he wanted. He isn't the best protagonist ever, and I see him more as a player insert than an actual character, but I don't mind him.
Nappy 1,372
one of the best for sure.no bitching, that’s ++++++
universetwisters 34,154
His motivations and backstory (until San Andreas came out) are ambiguous and that’s what I like about him; just a man of mystery with mysterious motives. sometimes you don’t need an intricate character to have fun
Evil empire 2,717
He's doesn't have any charism and I never liked his annoying expression and face. 1
Copcaller 694
I like his role as a mysterious gun for hire out for revenge against those who wronged him. Sometimes simple is better his silence kept him from being fleshed out but at the same time you can't call him being whiny or anything.

Ahmedmfroezspeed 283
ps: not only he's the best protagonist in the series but the best protagonist ever i'm sure you're like: is that nigga joking ? and i say: no, that nigga ain't joking
Algonquin Assassin 49,956
I like him in the sense that his mystique goes hand in hand with the brutal, unforgiving nature of Liberty City, but if I'm being honest I don't really like how they tried to give him an albeit vague backstory in San Andreas as it felt completely unnecessary if the intention behind him was a projection of the player's own persona IMO. I'm not even a big fan of the name "Claude". I like how in GTA III people only refer to him by nicknames like "Fido" and I wish his true name was never revealed. He should've been the GTA series' "Doom guy". Other than that it's impossible to pick faults in his character since well he doesn't really have one. His leather jacket and green pants are cool though.

I don't know if other people see it too, but talking about San Andreas, isn't it weird that it confirmed that he and Catalina went to Liberty City in 1992? Because judging by his situation in GTA III, he didn't feel like he has been there for quite a long time.

Yeah it feels strange considering in this Q&A R* did in 2011, they say in one answer that Claude is 'new to Liberty City' Quote What’s the backstory on Claude? For example his last name, family relatives? Where he's from? Or maybe even a short bio? Rockstar says: He’s a bank robber with a noisy and psychotic girlfriend. More than that, it is hard to say. Definitely a drifter, probably from the west coast, new to Liberty City. Surname may or may not be Speed. Well, actually they call him a drifter, so probably he was travelling from town to town with Catalina during those 9 years before settling in Liberty City at the end of that period. I also find it interesting that they neither confirm nor deny that his surname is Speed.

pianoir 257
Travis (this is what I would call him if I had a chance to play GTA III between 2001-2004), he's the best GTA vigilante ever. He wiped out the scum of the Earth from Liberty City and made the city better place.

Itscoming2020 1,488
I liked the protag but not that he has no voice, thats a must have for a rockstar game. You play a Charakter and not you like in skyrim

Lioshenka 1,078
Love him. He's attractive/adorable/cute - however you want to describe it. A fairly generic Caucasion male, you can't go wrong with that. His clothes are not quite smart and not quite casual. Again, ticks my box. He's mute. It gives you the freedom to make up your own backstory for him, his own attitude, build his character essentially. And in addition, you have quite a lot of freedom in how you can complete the missions, so you can be a sheep person who obeys the rules, the ruthless killer who does jobs regardless of the obstacles, a rebel, who does things his way, or someone who avoids killing people, and makes every kill an accident. He blends with the city, with it's flashy parts, and with the crime-ridden parts, when there's a shootout, and where there's a Mediaeval Fayre on. He's one with Liberty, and through his genericness (is it a word?) it allows us to blend in with the game world ourselves by filling in the blanks. And at the end of the day he simply goes to his hideout, throws washing into the machine, heats up pizza and watched the new episode of Friends. A guy who enjoys a normal, simplistic life. None of that bullcrap that all other protagonists seem to be always obsessed without, be is finding that special someone, walking a dog, or putting his gang back on the map. Limefong 275
He's a very great character. But not that great compared to Tommy. But however the only things i dislike is that he has no emotions. i am fine with him being mute though
