Mysterious hero

You can feed someone to an alligator, blow someone's brains out, run someone over with a horse carriage, set someone on fire, and do all kinds of nasty things. But sex, something humans have been doing since the dawn of time, is going too far?

Censorship laws have and never will make any sense.

It's probably less about censorship (though devs aint fond of people using their assets for sex mods / pr0n) and more about making a sex mod and calling it Hot Coffee, which is one of Rockstar and Take-Two's sore spots.

It's a bit like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

Your girlfriend is sitting next to you as you’re typing this, isn’t she?

I wish but I haven't met her for a week😢

In all honesty though, I hated pr0n because my exceptional friend showed me a fetish video that it made me both frightened and disgusted

Last time a hot coffee incident happened, a politician ended up as a statue of happiness in gta iv holding up a steaming cup of hot coffee to the entire world.

It's a shame Arthur isn't getting any action whatsoever. Not from Sadie, his former gf, Marie Beth or any random prostitute. Real shame.

Maybe he needs a little blue pill?

It makes no sense that Arthur, the bachelor outlaw, can’t pick up prostitutes. It was definitely removed from the game considering there are two options when interacting, decline and reject. GTA5 allows it and with multiple acts and camera angles. It’s censorship by t2

I'll never understand Americans.

Violence: Yes

Sex: No

In Germany we had censorship in the 80s, granted, but as far as I remember when I was watching Miami Vice, they only censored some of the violence, not the sex. It's still censorship and therefore stupid, but atleast it made more sense.

(Also no speed limits on highways and prostitution is legal. You can f*ck hookers and speed in front of cops, and they'll just smile and tip their hats).

Sex, something normal humans do and nobody gets hurt gets censored, yet violence and homicide, some of the most shocking things that can happen to a person is freely depicted. (Still love blasting heads off people with the sawed off tho no argument against video-game violence from me).

You guys remember the dancing minigame from the nightclub DLC in GTA Online? If I had a say in RDR2 development, once a working girl offered you a good time you could either decline, reject or accept, you'd then go to one of the rooms in the many saloons/motels and have something similar than with the dancing minigame just reworked for hot coffee. I'm thinking control of the rythm, speed, cadence, different possitons, a pleasure bar, perhaps some bad honor for John since he's married, get creative and have some fun with it.

If a choice is offered to you in Read Dead 2, you can always accept, no matter the consequence, I don't see why it should be different when it comes to sex.

I just never understood why Americans are so prude and moreover so hypocritical. Violence yes, but sex, no? If it was the other way around it'd be stupid too, but atleast it would make sense, the way it is is just illogical and hypocritical.

And yes, normal people can also talk about sex openly with other adults, that doesn't mean their virgins or deviants. 3 posts in and I already see the inevitable making assumptions about other people's marital status, get over yourselves. 🙄

This is not San Andreas Hot Coffee Mod part Two. There's a huge difference the moron who made the video forgot to research about. Which is the ESRB rating.

Starting with Vice City it's rated with "Strong Sexual Content" which covers picking up women, the same stupid rating was included in San Andreas, the difference was the sexual scenes were glorified in hidden files.

GTAV gets around this with having the ESRB including nudity. And RDR2 has those same exact ratings. This will not be anything like the silliness that happened last time a decade ago.

That's the thing I love about European people: most of them are okay with nudity and sex topics in art and IRL. Maybe, maybe the issues you're describing are in relation with the religion in US, it's crazy religious country. WVS, Hoffstede and so on.

BTW, long time no see, should install discord back on my machine, cheers.

Why do people sound like they want to see some polygon having sex here?

Why do other people sound like they want to see some polygons having their heads blown off by point-blank shotguns?

It’s a cultural thing. Many Americans are entirely OK with seeing extreme violence but get upset when a female nipple pops into view. Middle Eastern cultures are very similar. But most European cultures are more happy (or less unhappy) with nudity, I think.

Nudity is natural. Sex is natural. Shooting people’s heads off is not natural. But I’m European.

I honestly don't understand why do whenever someone said they're not into videogame sex or simply ask why people want videogame sex too much, people always twist it into "gore good sex bad". That's straw man argument on another level

I had my own reason why I'm not interested in videogames sex, just like Arthur himself has his own reason why he's not into prostitutes, which clearly went over some people's head

As for the mod itself, its pretty laughable that T2 would send their legal team over some scripts using preexisting assets, and I can understand why most people are mad at that, but what I can't understand is that some people are mad because you can't have sex in the vanilla game. If anything, the media and journos will twist this into "gamers are horny" as part of their anti-gg propaganda

Michael De Santa: No. He sits on his ass all day, smoking dope and jerking off while he plays that f*cking game. If that's our standard for goodness... then no wonder this country's screwed.

It’s not about wanting to see sex acts in a game. It’s about freedom of expression and fighting censorship. There are probably a ton of things r* would put in their games if not for t2 tyranny. It’s a chain reaction fueled by massive corporations that have their claws dug into things they have no business being involved in. It’s not about religious Americans it’s about greed and control.

It's less Take-Two tyranny and more the industry in general not being interested in making games with the AO rating, for whatever reason, probably that they don't sell or advertise well I suspect.

I'm not particularly bothered about sex or nudity in games, when it's not pointless and tasteless, like this mod, then yea sure it can work. Throwing sex and/or nudity into a game for no reason isn't some trailblazing thing, it's almost always forced and weird.

A good example of a game that went all in on the gore, nudity and sex stuff was Agony. It was crowdfunded indie game, so not the greatest example by any means, but all the adult themes were used for nothing more than shock rather than them trying to do anything substantial that actually adds to the game and the story.

Violence is just as natural as sex. Indeed, they’re interlinked. One leads to the other, and vice versa. Shooting someone’s head off is about as natural as sex lube and bad dragon dildos.

The use of lawyers for every little thing is shocking, but really at this point it is not.  This is the funniest thing I have seen in the game though...Arthur's getting shot reaction/yell (everytime he gets shot now, I am gonna have this in my mind...lol) is used as the sound and the one I saw had no nudity. What waste of the court system if this was actually brought...the mod makers should go to a trial if they are sued and play this in court and then play all the gtao nudity and lisa ann dirty talk (this isnt even in the same ball park).
