1st lobby 24 players no animals. Infinite loading screen while swapping lobbies not fixed btw. 2nd lobby 23 players no animals. 3rd lobby disconnected while loading the session. 4th lobby 24 players no animals... am I doing smth wrong here lel

I joined a lobby with 19 players, animals were spawning in Great Plains, players count raised up to 25, animals stopped spawning.

I did encounter a gang camp and a moonshine event, I also moved my camp 3 times to check if there were any issues, all of this in a lobby with 25 players

Seven Gig in the last two days, weeks of issues, thousands of reports and in the end...

Spawned into a 24 player session in Great Plains, zero animals. Session count eventually dropped to 21 players, still zero animals. Switched to a new session, had infinite loading bug. Quit the game and went to bed. 
 

I’m on a 100Mb/s HFC connection, NAT2, connected via Ethernet. PS4 Pro, running off SSD.

Saw 2 skunks when I first spawned into a 23 person lobby, then back to a barren wasteland after that. So plan A and plan B failed. Think Rockstar has a plan C? lol

I havent played yet, but it sounds like a repeat of the other patch.  It seems like R* is at least trying, which is far more than all of the bugs in the GTAO.  The issue is when a bug of this nature, this would be the equivalent of no npc cars spawning, and the length of time for it lasting....it just doesnt look solveable.  A very similar in nature issue for GTAO...random events and animals in online. 

 

First, animals in online were abandoned probably due to the limitations of the random spawning system.  Second, the random events were buggy as hell...they never worked properly and when R* introduced Free Mode events, it completely broke them.  Third, there were awards for all the random events which inculded tattoos.  These were basically unacheviable unless you had gone out of your way to get them through a glitch or had gotten lucky to be in a lobby where they constantly spawned.  Fourth, after like 2 years of complaining, R* finally caved and let everyone buy the rewards such as tattos and removed the awards.

No they're not. How hard would it be for them to load into their own game and check these things first before forcing us to download another 3gb?

Because attempting to simulate a live scenario before you've deployed your fix is nigh-impossible.

Sure, there's tools out there that can replicate how many users are consuming resources, but to actually 100% mirror the real population isn't easy, given the different parts of the world people are in and different connection speeds etc.

Just my thoughts based on what I've experienced working as a developer, I'm willing to be corrected if anyone in the game industry knows better.

So they don't have 25 people at rockstar who can load into their own private lobby and see if camps and animals spawn?

They are clearly working on it...nothing like this was ever done for GTAO.  Its also clearly incompetent, but I appreciate the effort.  Its still disappointing, they should just let people have private lobbies.

I'm getting to the point where I wonder if it still matters if animal spawns get fixed or not. There is a ton of other issues yet to be addressed and I'm afraid that the game is broken beyond repair for me personally. I'm afraid the damage is done, the wait has been too long, the fun has died out. Even if I do run into tons of animals in low pop lobbies now, I don't feel much excitement or joy for finally being able to play the game more properly at all.

I never had issues with gang hideouts and moonshine events in populated lobbies.  Always just been the animal spawns for me.
