Most of the time my usual crew will help out momentarily with whatever buckle award I am chasing but they are not always available, so I have cut deals with random players when I was in a position where I needed help for progressing an award. For example, I cut a deal with a random low-level player on one occasion where I would invite him/her on a moonshine delivery and goods delivery if he/she player would agree to participate in 2-3 posse feuds. I made them deliver their end of the bargain up front and then we moved on to moonshine and goods deliveries. After cooldown was over, place another waypoint on a nearby collectible, race to it...rinse and repeat. I have been playing the game since Steam PC release, and have 899 hours as online character, level 430 which is quite low by local standards. Never had an intent of collecting all of awards since there are lots of PVP-related ones, which I don't enjoy at all due to p2p networking making fighting too unpredictable to the point it would take several minutes to figure out if someone is abusing/glitching/cheating or it being just the netcode thing, not saying tonics/cards/explosive ammo, I've participated in a few dozens of PVP showdowns/freemode events over the course of playing, and most of the time its a fully loaded posse vs two-digit levels who got almost nothing to put up against them. Glad they got rid of that stupid K/D thing from GTAO, so at least freemode is chill 99% of the time. The other reason I would call is the fact that award difficulty is so unevenly distributed that it makes me wonder if there are multiple people working on design for different awards of the same sets who are unaware of each others existance and have no idea most of those things can be reset 10 times, otherwise I can't see how could they come up with those 1000s buckles which should have been 100s from the beginning, with 1000 for 10 total resets, with an exception for getting kills with different weapon types. I think everyone here can say that a thousand of repeatingly doing something seems somewhat reasonable for a full 10x award, not just the initial one, which is clearly an overkill for any person who cares about preserving their sanity. What actually made me write this, I did spend the last weekend collecting animal samples because for some unknown reason I decided that I wanted full 42/42 awards for Naturalist(I got 56/56 on the Collector and 24/24 on the Moonshiner), which appears to be way quicker than getting 1000 alive/dead bounties, or 1000 supply runs, 100 player bounties, all of these borderline impossible without quitting the job and sleep, at least for me. So after two days and around ~20 hours of playtime I got Farmland Habitat buckle along with 10-ish mixed sets from other non-legendary categories, and what should I say, I can't imagine anyone willingly doing this 10 times without being paid by the hour or having a gun pointed to their head, it's just too RNG, required numbers are way too high, and it just not fun to know that you are moving by that small increments and basically your accomplishment dopamine for time you took to complete the whole thing is neglectable, it's laughable. I apologise to anyone who had to read all that rant, just genuinely mad about the award system of a game that meant to learn from and not to make mistakes GTAO has made turned out to be just another Arena War nonsense. You are right, there is some sync issue with social club ui, when the award count resets on the website if you reset complete award, but in-game you only need to get each of them(bronze, silver etc) just once and its accounted forever on its award category. I consider completing the award 1 time to have completed it. There is no reason to ride the train for 10,000 miles etc. You complete the award, get the buckle, and you are done. Resetting after completing the award once is strictly a financial bonus. You have completed the award when you reset it once. I think the same way, but its ridiculous we have things like 100 headshots with a bow, selling 100 herbs to a doctor and such, which max out to X in a few weeks of calm playing 1-2 hours per evening, and those things that require hundreds of hours invested and sometimes even multiple other players for stat padding, which doesn't sound like very fun way to play. Numbers are very unbalanced, for example I reset every Trader award twice (except one which is reset once and is currently at 98% ), but only got 199 out of 1000 supply runs, which really seems to be an oversight, and it actually was supposed to be reset twice aswell. I wish there were better awards. Hats, boots, etc. The belt buckles are cool, but they should be bigger and easier to see. I don't mind the grindy nature of some them. The problem isnt necessarily the requirement, but that you cannot even tell what this buckle is...I have it and you cannot even notice the difference when it equipped. I sincerely doubt that this an oversight. Every role has one award or two awards that are grindy as hell...the exception being the collector. However, if you waited to get the coin buckle...I think that is basically impossible to get at this point. I actually managed to get 15+ full sets of both coins and arrowheads to complete buckle awards after the collector nerf, its RNG as hell and those rare items have 2%-3.5% drop chance per spot , but you can double your odds by visiting random item spots that require metal detector to collect, these contain both rare arrows and rare coins with the same drop chances, so around of 50 spots to visit daily. Somehow this isn't that repetitive for me, and seems to be way faster than 1000 resupplies, which equals 250 full wagons or 833.3 hours of pure production time, not counting time to hunt, do actual resupplies and sell goods. I got 899 hours after almost 2 years, RDR2 is my top 4 game by Steam playtime, and even if I would dedicate all my available gaming time to that activity I doubt I would get it. Or you could say it's completely broken. I've maxed out on the three horse awards (most people probably have) and did that a couple of years ago. The social club still shows that one of them is still not complete. And take a look at the total hours played and compare with the days and hours figures below. That's been broken forever. The total hours looks correct so how hard is it to do floor(hours/24) and hours modulo 24? Sometimes you can progress more than one award at a time, like doing a posse race for example, that will progress your posse versus completions as well as progress posse race wins...but with the canoe award, you ain't doing nothing but paddling that damned boat. I dont think so, every posse member gets resupply for their camp, so their production limit goes back to 25, even if no resupply needed yet.
