You seemed to be interested in going onwards after the awards was done I'm currently just over lvl 700 (706 I'm thinking) and you are right that it is so much easier to gain levels than it is to grind awards. I've not given up on RDO but I have started playing another game part time when not doing RDO grinding. I'm still working on gold Xing all my sharpshooter weapons but now I usually just make sure I get 50-100 kills/headshot kills per day of the weapon I'm working on. Before I would spend approx. 90 minutes a day grinding 400-500 kills with a specific weapon. As far as leveling up, I use the collecting while on a bounty hunt method with the 12 minute timer. Each bounty hunt usually nets about 2,000-3,000 xp every 12 minutes. Certainly there are faster ways to gain xp but at least this method allows me to play the game and not be exclusively grinding weapon kills. Likely there is a time zone difference and maybe even different consoles but I would gladly help you out with the posse assist award if its doable. As far as the first and last kill, I had to complete it with a group of friends. There was usually 4 of us and we would go into an elimination mode. Often, we would get our own game lobby and we would just ready up as soon as we could. If other players joined, we would just vote to kick them out so we could have only our team in there. Then it was just all out war. When someone would get close to completing the award, they called it out that they were close and the rest of us would just go into the firing line for the next few matches to let them finish off the award. Then it would be back to all out war again. These two took me about 2 months to complete with solely focusing on just first and last kills. Im 960 at the moment... so yeah levels are insanely long close to 50k each... might take a week or two break to refreshen my spirit a bit... Soon I can say ive completed the game in every aspect... as I've pvp'ed in some of the best circles as well and done that part too... I don't mind to be honest if you don't, was just a little idea... I hope it's okay I show my picture and end progress though, its the only picture I will post about level and I will update it to the 1000 soon. I'm not trying to hijack or make it into a leveling thread at all... the idea was only for people to post if they ever reach 1000 and only that... I feel that is maybe as big or even bigger achievement than "all buckles"... so yeah I think we may be the last people who finished these awards, seems the thread has gone kind of dead and the playerbase too, even the game! I can't see many taking up these as a challenge in the future... If some people do, the thread is complete with guides and tips for most hard buckles. Of course I will drop in and be helpful , maybe even write detailed guides like the "posse assist" thing if that is something people found helpful. So yeah, I just wanted to show the spirit of the people who attempted these I guess... the special kind of breed we are Are you still playing cosmic? If so, what are you doing ? I think the number 1000 was made up with helping posse's resupply in mind... it seems so unreasonable if you compare it to other awards that if you don't count posses ressuplies too its almost a made up number. Yeah having done level 1000 im done as well ... yeah thanks for making this thread, in my opinion we were some of the most dedicated RDO players, we've done all the most grindy stuff there is... It's sad that we didn't get the game we wanted... It could have been so much more. One end note... being a completionist in this game is not recommended at all... many of the buckles numbers seem to have been set totally random, where some take a few hours, some like the trader resupplies are going to take a year for normal players, you will not be rewarded for your efforts either unless you consider the generic belt buckles being rewarded. I think we all saw the games potential and how it slowly drained into the sand along the years... leading to the dead end announcement that development is done... I don't know, it works for most I think, might be on xbox then... Ah I miss the player/posse asassination free roam missions, man those were fun! For some reason you are close enough to receive the invite but not close enough to the player. It starts on their screen and if you manage to get close enough to them it will start for you too, but they will probably escape easily, because you have no clue what's going on ofcourse. Oh yeah I might have misunderstood you, if what you meant is that when you click the promt to "start it" that they don't start... This is the answer. What I did was ride around to the most likely places for people to be (towns, fast travel areas etc)... and when you get close enough the bounty will start... but the timer will already have begun is a thing to notice... I'll go for the 1100 total eventually, I guess, after I hit 11,000 dead npc bounties (still picking up what player bounties I can along the way, but it's hard to encounter the player bounties when I'm almost always in a mission hunting npc's). No Homing Posted September 27 Share Posted September 27 (edited) I finally managed to get the first and last kills awards. I can't stand showdowns so I have always been looking for a way to cheese this and I recently found out it's fairly doable to get an elimination showdown by yourself in the middle of the night, using 2 consoles. I found Make It Count to be the best one. So I stayed up a few nights grinding. It was still a painful proces though. I also found out that running out of bounds to kill yourself counts as a kill for some reason, so in a 1v1 doing that will count as both the first and the last kill even though you lose, lol. I mean can't remember if you could catalogue on train when it started... this one stuck in my mind too lol...
