IV Released [IV/EFLC] Potential Grim

Hello to all.

1) I've finally a new PC, and have re-installed a fresh GTAIV copy from Steam following catsmackaroo's guide. (I'm strictly talking about GTAIV, not TLaD nor TBoGT, i don't like these two expansions)

2) day before yesterday I've started the game the first time as is (vanilla) and did ONE save (basically after driving at Roman's apartment I've saved) after I've grabbed the gun at the kart track.

3) every mod I've downloaded (so far 20-ish), I've tested them one by one, meaning installed one mod and played for 10-ish minutes after the initial save (so don't have to drive from the docks and avoid the long cutscenes explaining what to expect from the parking area and hot dog vendor in front of the door).

4) I've downgraded to patch 1080, but the mod "ArrestWarrant_v1.0.5" didn't work as "scripthookdotnet_v1.7.1.7b" works only till patch 1070. Uninstalled, did 1) and 2), patched at 1070. "ArrestWarrant_v1.0.5" works, but NOT "ArrestWarrant_v1.1". Fair enough, just keep the first version.

5) so far 10 mods work fine with no crashes (recoil_fixv1.1, real_recoil, ArrestWarrant_v1.0.5, Beaten & Bruised, Bleed__Heal_1.0, exaggeratedbloodv116, Liberty Rush v1.10, MVI [More Visual Interiors], Project Birds v1.02, RealisticDriving_EFLC_13).

5.1) "Potential Grim (GTA IV)" and "Responsive Plus (GTA IV)" do NOT work, and they BOTH gave the SAME kind of error: 

- "Potential Grim (GTA IV)": Niko was invisible but his gun wasn't after handling it; the hot dog vendors weren't there (nor the one in front of Roman's apartment nor the one near his taxi building); people started fighting (the mod is indeed working), but after a bit it freezes then boots me to the desktop. Tried reverting one file (I can't remember which one was it, MAYBE it was componentpeds.img; restarted the game, Niko was visible, but the vendors were still missing. Froze and crash after a couple minutes. Reverted ALL the files from this mod. Started the game without the mod and it works.

- Responsive Plus (GTA IV)": Niko was visible, the vendors were still missing. Froze and crash after a couple minutes. Reverted ALL the files from this mod. Started the game without the mod and it works.

 

It's a long process but at least it shows what's working and what's not. Or rather, what mistakes I've done. 

 

I've to specify that I may have installed these mods wrongly using OpenIV because at first, I didn't know it opens  and exposes inner files from bigger ones like "script.img" or any other ",img" extensions, nor was I aware of what a fantastic powerful tool it is. 

Secondly, in both mods there's no guide in how to install them, just to use a modding tool like OpenIV. And indeed I've done it manually but most certainly there's something I've missed out. 

 

Request: Can anyone please write a short note on how to install them?  

 

I know this sounds like a weird question since I've actually installed them (unsuccessfully), but it's because I didn't just drag&drop the folders "common" and "pc" into OpenIV, I've drag&dropped EACH FILE singularly into OpenIV, right after making a copy of every single file that will be replaced by the mod (hence managing to revert it's original files). Freakin' long process, I know, but again, it's to understand where the error is.
