Thanks for making online much more sh*t since 2013.

Thanks r* for jacking up the prices to get more people to buy shark cards.

Yea celebration my ass....

please stop me

Thanks to Rockstar for GTA Online and keeping it very much active throughout the years! I was going through a lot of crap back in 2015, playing GTAO took my mind off crappy stuff.

Go on @Quinn_flower, you stare that gift horse straight in the teeth.

Credit where due, their pushing of public only had me expecting to move on from R* and anything they do online going forward, but these last 2 DLC have proved they still could draw me in. I hope for more, but with RDRO removing so much freedom and choice completely from the off while repeating the GTA businesses crap again, and that mess with WWE2K, I'm not convinced T2 will become more gamer friendly going forward either.

Mixed feelings to start the year as I don't know what to expect next, but I'm grateful I got a bit more out of the game. I enjoy my game, but so much want a new GTA, and if the gaming gods are on side, RDRO gets a full overhaul too. (I know, dreamland).

I can't help but wonder if they'd be as chuffed if GTA:O wasn't active as I believe this game propped that one up a bit, lol.

Arena Wars made me quit the game for a while but Casino and Casino Heist brought me back for a thousand hours more.

I have 2300 hours of this game on Steam, and my second most played is Skyrim with 300.

You're welcome, Rstar

This is a game that nobody forced us to buy and play. If you don't like it, don't play it. It's still getting content 6 years after launch and the fact that people are playing and posting on forums already tells me everything I need to know.

Same here. Arena Wars never appealed, I’ve not even looked at it. Although I did buy the property this week, just because it was 50% off, still not tried it though.

I’d be lying if I said the game didn’t piss me off with some of the design choices but after years it’s still enjoyable and I give credit to R* for supporting it.

Yeah, I actually only bought the property when the Time Trial series of the RC Bandito released. Just so I could play them

Yellow Dog with Cone

Got my small loan of one million dollars, then I couldn't load into the game at all later.

Classic GTA Online lol

If you can get past the clear play-wall to unlock discount pricing/Pegasus vehicles you may not even want, the games themselves can be chaotic/sloppy/fun times. I used to win different modes with stock arena vehicles against modified personal ones. It’s a ridiculous concept but there’s some enjoyment to be had if you’re not grinding through for unlocks.

Just have to wait, I guess. I'm well over the 72 hours thing, too. Still nothing here.

I have mixed feelings over GTA. I still enjoy a majority of the game. Contact missions, some of the vs modes, and just the all around freedom of driving around Los Santos in a private/friends only session. What I don't like is the convoluted system of buying property #1, in order to buy property #2, which allows you to buy vehicle #1 and unlock certain VIP missions. I also don't agree with the low pay rates for many of the missions, especially the heists, as they seem way too low for the cost of these vehicles. And I certainly don't agree with the push towards the open public pvp and how only certain aspects of the game are available in public lobbies. Guess I'm just too much of an old school gamer. I will continue to play GTA Online as long as it's available and is being supported. I try to keep hope that someone at Rockstar and Take-Two will realize that quality over shark card sales should be more important but that is a very small flicker of hope.

Oh well. All we can do is play the game as is and just wait to see how the future unfolds.

And for those trying to get the bonus money, make sure you do some sort of activity so that the game recognizes that you're in there. I had an issue last year where I logged in and didn't get my bonus money and it was because I stayed in my apartment and didn't go out into the world and do anything. So rob a convenience store, sell a car, just do something so that there is a record of you being in there.
