is there a tutorial or something for adding custom gang zones?

Look for tuto about adding gang in Tutorial section

About adding gangzone i don't know.

 

Making gangzones needs script codes

Either a setup inside main.scm or a cleo script

 

First the instruction to give a new setup

08CA: reset_zones_info

 

then the setup with opcode 076C:

076C: set_zone 'BATTP' gang 0 density_to 0  // Battery Point
076C: set_zone 'BATTP' gang 2 density_to 70  // Battery Point

 

 

The zones intself are done by data\info.zon

first 3 lines of info.zon


zone
SUNMA, 0, -2353.17, 2275.79, 0.0, -2153.17, 2475.79, 200.0, 1, SUNMA
SUNNN, 0, -2741.07, 2175.15, 0.0, -2353.17, 2722.79, 200.0, 1, SUNNN

zone name, 0, xyz coords, xyz coords, 1, gxt entry to show the zone name

 

 

back to opcode 076C:

it needs to give a percentage value for a gang to appear in the zone

 

best way is something like 80 for the dominant gang and 0 for the other gang

076C: set_zone 'BATTP' gang 0 density_to 0  // Battery Point
076C: set_zone 'BATTP' gang 1 density_to 80  // Battery Point

 

Study this cleo mod to learn how to make custom gang zone

 

 

 

NOTE:

Only 3 gangs are working for gangwar, only 3 different colored zones

(unless you wanna use the extended gangwar mod)

 

IMPORTANT:

The entries inside pedgrp.dat gives the gangs, also which gang works for gangwar

The order in which the gangs are listed decide which is gang0, gang1, gang2 and so on

BALLAS1, BALLAS2, BALLAS3	= gang 0 for opcode 076C:	

FAM1, FAM2, FAM3	= gang 1 for opcode 076C:		

LSV1, LSV2, LSV3	= gang 2 for opcode 076C:

what have you done?

 

did you modify pedgrp.dat?

if yes, then post whole content of your pedgrp.dat

 

did you modify info.zon?

if yes, then post whole content of your info.zon

 

did you make a script to setup gangmembers?

if yes, then tell me if it is for main.scm or cleo script?

and post the script

Consider adding this code when enabling gang wars.

0629: change_integer_stat 337 to 1 // toggles the "territories under control" stat
