Vehicles in race creator questions

I created an air race, and chose several planes as available vehicles, including Cuban 800 and B-11 (which I happen to have in my hanger).

When I go to start the race, my Cuban 800 shows up with the custom paint job, but not the B-11. I've tried both restricted custom vehicles and open, and still can't get it to show up. Any ideas why it's not showing. I changed the paint job and souped up the engines on my B-11, among other things.

 

Also, I was trying to create a land race "to Grandma's House" for station wagons and minivans, but I can't seem to find the Regina anywhere. I looked under Sedans (which the system says it is) and other places, and even tried changing the starting grid to Large. Still nothing.

Think it some bad game design. I can use the Hunter in creator air race but not when the race is published.

There are some vehicles that aren't available to choose from the menu in published races. These vehicles (Regina, Zion, Felon GT, Rancher XL, and others) are also not available in Creator when making your own race. 

 

Pity, as I would have liked an all-Regina field. 

 

(I feel your pain, too. I wanted to make "That 70s Race" using the Regina, as well as one that featured Otis 'Bad' Blake's Suburban* (Rancher XL) racing to get from a liquor store to a gig, but was likewise thwarted)

Well, rats. I was able to make my all BF Surfer race but, IIRC, I had to set the starting grid to large for some reason. I was hoping there was some similar trick I could use to get the Regina.
