XxElBigMex913xX 84
Has anyone seen The Safdies Bros' Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler? Thought Adam Sandler's performance is easily one of the best acting I have ever seen in a long time especially when given the right material for him to work with. For those didn't know, this film is executively produced by Martin Scorsese and Joker's Emma Tillinger Koskoff during the production of the film. And boy, the whole entire experience is certainly mindblowing especially some notable easter eggs that are inspired by the mean streets of New York and of course, GTA IV. So, what are your guys' thoughts on the Safdie Bros' new anxiety induced film? Edited January 15, 2020 by xXElRadioDJ913Xx
Mister Pink 12,205
I haven't watched this but I'm really curious to see it. Kermode gave it a very favourable review. He never spoils but the way he talks about certainly got me even more interested. And it's an A24 release as well. They are the best publishers of films in the last decade, in my opinion. J Dilla 44
I've heard great things about this one. I know of Sandler's acting abilities, he done a great job in one of my favorite films, Punch-Drunk Love.
TheJesus1996 1,838
Oh my God it was amazing, my heart was beating in the last minutes. Adam Sandler proves to be one of my favorites actors of all time regardless his other films. Side note: I could totally relate to all the sports gamble thing it was perfectly portrayed
Zello 20,147
I'm not an Adam Sandler fan at all I actually hate him but a lot of people are saying that this is his best performance I might watch this.
Mister Pink 12,205
Finally got around to watching it. Glad the Safdie Brothers are winning awards for it. They could win an award for most original award reception. Edited February 9, 2020 by Mister Pink

So I watched it. Didn't expect it to end like that but it was pretty realistic and happened quickly. Definitely loved Sandler's performance. He needs to take on more roles like this. Also loved how it took place in 2012 it really captured the early 2010's well. That nostalgia hit me hard. The soundtrack was good too. Being an NBA fan really made me a enjoy this a bit more. I remember how the NBA was back then in 2012 those were the days man. Edited December 8, 2020 by Zello
Nigo 3
Saw this during the premiere month in theatres and wow Arno and his goons felt like they are straight out of the Hove Beach chapter of GTA IV lmao Howard is basically Roman if you think about how they're both businessmen and gambling addicts Also for a fun read look up the tanned rich guy from the casino/Blade scene, Wayne Diamond - dude's a legend that could be a GTA character
Inttelix 261
The turnaround is mindblowing. Sometimes movies are all about making it big, triumph and glory. Others are just too real to be happy. You are in the edge of your seat the entire time, even if Howard is a degenerate. The ending impressed me and these guys really have what it takes to make modern day Tarantino-esque movies.

I sure hope they don't have what it takes to make Tarantino-esque movies and will continue making Safdie-esque movies instead😂
