LloydGTA3 88
Am I the only one who was annoyed over the fact that despite the fact that CJ said that he and the others were gonna pitch in to make the sh*thole of a garage into a garage while running their business, it still remains the same sh*thole for the rest of the storyline/game? I was really looking forward for missions that involves the player getting some material to fix up the garage. I mean considering that the game requires the player to build an empire in all three cities, and CJ and Cesar have collected enough cars for the car showroom, as well as the fact that CJ complains about the garage's condition in the beginning, you'd think they'd include missions in which they would remodel the garage as well. All that hard work they do to collect the cars for the showroom and they do absolutely nothing about the garage's condition. Edited January 16, 2020 by lil weasel
lil weasel 2,761
In the hundreds of games palyed, I never gave it a thought. I would presume that fixing the interior was the aim. and of course once the Motors building was purchased that became the new target. Evil empire 2,662
I agree it' strange the garage never receives any mission to make it a business and give it a decent look, what's more it doesn't seem to generate money and if it contributes to Wang cars' it's not explained in the game (at least as far as I remember). Anyway it looks like the new Doherty overhaulin' garage mod is for you. Edited January 15, 2020 by Evil empire
Max.pain 1,743
is it clear when those missions happen? i mean the ones after cj gets his licence. agreed it is awkward, with that money cj shoulda done something.
Rhoda 6,984
It annoyed me at first considering we've seen environmental changes in other games, but I assumed later that they used Wang Cars as their base of operations to look as legitimate as possible. The real garage can remain rundown - why sink money into a garage when you could be using the money to maintain the prim and proper looking showroom?

What reward money ? If all this happened in Doherty -1992 then CJ and the boys got stashed so much cash, from a 4K Garage biz. What may have been done with all this cash, all spent in gameplay, otherwise player determined expenditures.
Nappy 1,367
we got some good money in game with the missions, and i believe cj somehow got that money really with his jobs, he was working for woozie and such who is a guy who’d pay nice. and when they are returning to los santos cj calls kendl and she says she’s in san fierro, which i belive hanging around cj’s garage. there was also two guys working in there i forgot their names, they probably didn’t leave it there. the best i can hope is they did some good stuff to that place but we never got to see it. xReptile 3
I guess it's just like many other things this game could have had, all cut from the final release due to PS2 limitations.

Did some Good stuff , offscene like the penultimate missions where scorned lover Biff Rock gets the dead dodo , you know the whole AFKing gameplay just socks no shoes one line boys perfect ! Lioshenka 1,021
Yes, probably the one single thing that pissed me off during my first play through. Every time I was heading to a missing start point I was hoping that finally I'm going to see the garage being painted, and new signs put up. Mission after mission, shootout after shootout, chase after chase. It was just before I started the End Of The Line I realised that nothing is going to happen, and that I've been let down hugely by the game developers.
muvdafucupouttahere 158
I guess the developers were really gonna have the player do missions to fix up the garage originally, but thought that since San Andreas is a PS2 game, there could be only so much the developers could cram into for the already huge content. Still, it's a disappointment that we never had a chance to actually design the garage and see it turn into a business-worthy empire.
LordStarship 519
I thought the same before. Maybe it's a beta thing that we don't know. It's such a disappointment to see the garage that we've been working all along in San Fierro by stealing cars and stuff is just a dirty garage for the rest of the game. However, I agree to some comments above. PS2 limitations all over again. It's strange how Wang Cars is the main business for CJ in San Fierro. Both the Transfender and Pay n' Spray that are supposed to be connected with Wang Cars still force player to pay for it. Even Wang Cars look unrealistic within customers. Yet again, it's a PS2 limitation.
MrBeanLadEn 1,792
Well what can I say on this..... My Theory: This was probably because Cesar might have designed the interior when CJ was f*ckin' off in LV with the casino heist He planned to do the exterior after every thing was in control but till then CJ was least interested in this sh*t
Eriahslon 60
I agree,it never changes and it would be nice to see it clean and ready for car tuning etc from Jethro and Dwaine.
universetwisters 33,891
who Would wanna work with cj anywhere construction is involved after what he did in Deconstruction? That’ll blacklist you amongst tradesmen
watersgta3 527
From the way CJ gets pissed off of the garage being nothing more than a sh*thole and the discussions with Kendl on how to turn the garage into a business, I do have to agree that it's very jarring to not have any missions to purchase the material to design the place. All that talk about property development, and then it's completely ignored afterwards. Honestly, in retrospect, there's a lot of missed opportunities in the game's storyline.
