Outlaw pass 2, some doubt !

Recommended Posts

Demar25
hello, I would like to take the outlaw pass 2 but I have a doubt about it. Spend 40 bars for a ride that ends shortly, (in March, I don't remember if the end of the month) not as convenient as it is .. my doubt was, I'm advancing the Wheeler and Ranswom & co pass for free, and I arrived at a certain rank, buying pass 2, do I go directly to that rank, or will I start all over again with the new pass?

For every 1000XP you get from when the second Outlaw Pass came out, you go up one Club rank, whether you’ve bought the pass or not. If you buy it and your Club rank is 70 for example, you’ll automatically unlock every item in the Outlaw Pass up until level 70. Even through casual playing, it doesn’t take long to unlock everything and get your gold bars back.

It really shouldn't take very long, naturally depending on how much you generally play the game.

At 2-3 hours per day it will likely take a couple of weeks, once the bonus collector items start rolling in to complete sets, your rank will increase almost too fast to appreciate.

I play quite a lot, and it took me about 8 days to hit rank 100 on the Outlaw Pass, just basically playing the same way I always do: collecting, trading, hitting the daily challenges that are easiest.

There are a lot of things that I probably won't want/need from the list of unlocks, but I got my gold bars back easily and loads of money as well.

It's definitely worthwhile if you enjoy the game.

just play  showdowns and story missions and you will have your 40 gold bar before march, you will also have reached the last rank in the wheeler by that time..

so if you buy the wheeler and you are in that last rank you will unlock everything instantly and you will earn your 40 gold bars back.. + some treasure maps i believe.. whatever you unlocked it will stay with you like forever..

Mine was done in about a week or 2. First one only took a week. It’s doable

If you collect like crazy and alternate between trading and moonshining its a very quick level up to 100 in the outlaw pass

@Demar25: in answer to your question ("I'm advancing the Wheeler and Ranswom & co pass for free, and I arrived at a certain rank, buying pass 2, do I go directly to that rank, or will I start all over again with the new pass?"), you do indeed go directly to that rank when you buy the pass.

For example, if you're at rank 10 of the free club rewards, and then buy the pass, you'll automatically get given all the pass rewards for ranks 1-10. So in theory, you could wait until rank 100 of the club rewards, buy the pass, and then get ALL the pass rewards in one go (including 40 gold, which means you effectively get the pass for free).

For what it's worth, if you're thinking of getting the pass and you've got the gold to spare, might as well buy it - you get a 15% increase in Role XP earned at rank 1, and a 25% increase in Role XP at rank 49, which in turn makes progressing through the pass/club ranks faster whenever you do Collector/Trader/Bounty Hunter/Moonshiner stuff.

It took me just over a day to complete it. It's only 1,500xp for each Outlaw Pass rank. If you play for a few hours a week you should be able to do it easily.

Selling collectible sets gives you what, 2000XP?

It goes by almost too quickly if you collect a lot, or started the pass with most sets only needing 1 or 2 items.

The bonus collectibles you get mid way through the pass will start completing sets and you'll hit 100 in no time.

Honestly I could do one of these passes per month easily just by playing collector and trader normally and hitting dailies, which is basically all I do.

The trick is to play whatever modes/roles etc. that you enjoy and mix things so you're doing a bit of each at the same time, you'll rank up fast enough and it won't seem like a grind at all.

That's the best way to approach the game anyway, no need to feel rushed or push yourself to do stuff you don't completely enjoy.

1,500xp to sell a set. You can easily get 18 sets in a day. You'll also earn about 40,000xp when you collect it all. That comes to around 67,000xp which is about 45 Outlaw Pass ranks.

The Outlaw Pass is very easy to complete and restore your 40 gold, if you're playing regularly. This is quite peculiar for R* so one is right to be suspicious.

Even w/o restoring your gold (but it does), there should be at least a few items you'll like, items that cannot be unlocked any other way.

Spoiler

If R* doesn't read spoilers, I'll openly admit I feel the 40g is worth the content you unlock, and they'd probably charge more if individual items went for sale.

However, overall the rewards are underwhelming for the time investment, and like the original ranks ups, you often need to go through several levels before you unlock a desired item. And then, I only unlocked about 50% of the club rewards, 1 and 2. I still have like 60 tokens to spend I think.

The most I ever did was 5 or 6 per day, more casual collecting, but even so the XP you get for picking up the items plus when you sell them, along with everything else is plenty to rank up.

The further you've progressed, the more likely the discounted items will be something you already have or don't want, so kind of diminishing returns in a sense, but the gold and cash bonuses are worthwhile.

The free fast travels, supply vouchers, etc. are nice to have, but I see it mainly as just bonuses for playing the game, which I'm going to do with or without the pass.
