Is it possible to download and play the expansions with a digital copy?

As in playing the episodes with a copy of GTA IV?

On PS3 and 360/Xbox One, you can buy them as DLC and use a disc or digital copy of IV to play them. You lose out on the 3 exclusive stations from the EFLC disc, but the other DLC songs will be added to the stations in IV, so you can listen to IV's soundtrack + the TLAD/TBoGT songs across all three games.

It's no longer possible to buy the separate episodes as DLC on PC (due to the GFWL Marketplace shutting down), but assuming you have digital copies of both IV and EFLC, you can still merge them with this method:

Yes, meant with a digital copy of IV because I did not know whether or not you could use a digital copy to play them because all other places I tried says "You need an original GTA 4 disc to play them" and never mention digital copies. Thank you very much for the help

I have the physical version of GTAIV, but TLaD & TBoGT as DLC from GfWL live, and even though it still recognises I own the expansions in-game and in the GfWL client, it appears to no longer be possible to download them! First time that's happened with something I "own" digitally.
