Any way to fix the missing outfit slot?

Early on in the game I got hit with the "missing outfit slot" bug, my Custom Outfit Three got eaten and I only noticed it after I got ways further into the story. All my searches turned up was "it happens and if it happens to you you're well and truly buggered."

Wondering if the modders have found a way to restore the missing slot though?
