(Original) Criminal Mastermind Challenge - reward bug question

Recently I tried to get a team together to complete the challenge on PC, after having done it several times before on PS3/PS4.

We did get started but half of my team (though seemingly competent enough for it) are uncommunicative and after giving them plenty time to respond, I've let them know I'd be looking for people to replace them.

Made the thread for it and the one comment I got so far has indicated that there's some (justified?) paranoia about the challenge rewards. So thanks to paranoid, doomsaying and almost hostile poster (out of nowhere, thanks internet strangers) I'm having to look this up and figure out what the hell is going on.

 

The question: has anyone confirmed that there are problems with the rewards for the CMMC and other challenges for the original five heists on the PC?

People are referencing award mission counters not reflecting their actual progress (same team, playing in order on Hard without any player deaths) early on.

 

I'm skeptic about this bug existing for 3 reasons:

1. From experience, the award counters have been incorrect previously on the other platforms and that didn't stop all teammembers from getting paid - for as far as I can recall. It would've been a big deal.

2. It sounds like the incorrect counters have made their way to the 'master race' platform, possibly since a recent update and now people are freaking out about something that console users were already used to. Again: SOUNDS LIKE.

3. The few threads my friend and I found so far referencing this problem contain ZERO posts from people saying what actually happens upon completion of the conditions, post-Pacific Standard finale.

 

If someone does have (recent) personal experience with the actual ending of the challenge, please share it here. If noone (that reads this) does have it or has read anyone else sharing their recent experiences; let's just find out.

I'm only posting this here because the two of us seem to really be in between teams for it and while ofcourse the second and third heist series of the game get more attention, it's likely that a number of people are too scared to play the original heists because they might not get paid millions at the end.

 

If we DID have an active team, we'd simply be finishing up our run to find out. All we lose is time - and it shouldn't be that much time with any half decent team. Worst case scenario, a team finishing it now gets the standard heist payouts for an easy job well done. Best case scenario, everyone gets paid and we can put this to rest.

So I did encounter this bug on Xbox One shortly after the heists came out and then again around the CEO office and the MC Clubhouse (yes I know it is dated)

 

But I did come across this issue (IIRC specifically it was the same crew one) were I hosted Fleeca and then host changed to someone else for the rest. But halfway through the heists we realized my partners number was off by 3 compared to the rest of her stats. Which the only 3 mission was Fleeca. SO once we finished the CMMC me and my partner for Fleeca re-did fleeca and she got paid her million.
