A bit bummed they're adding a limited time gift on Moonshiners. I'm still not done farming the gold to buy the damn thing lol.

Also very annoyed they're adding a discount on the Outlaw Pass. Those who purchase it now will get more gold than they paid for in return from the rewards. 😐

First real bit of "dripfeed" and discounts since the update and it's literally discounts on all the things we bought in the update. It's the first update. The medium delivery wagon was actually on sale for the past few weeks for I think 25% off, that sale ends and it's now 40% off straight after. Even the bloody Outlaw Pass is apparently discounted which is mad.

Still no survival game mode or anything remotely co-op outside of story missions, even though GTAO now has a survival mode creator. There's only been one new PvP mode in general since the Frontiers update if I remember right and that was the Halloween mode. Seems like they weren't lying when they said that they're going to shy away from PvP stuff and start designing content with co-op in mind cause that's what players want. Can't wait for them to start doing that.

As far as the clothes go, they almost all follow Rockstar's new rule of "lets take something players already have and give it cow camo and/or fur". Still no sign of the limited time clothing, I assume we're going to have wait a full year for those to return now.

Not helping the growing opinion that Red Dead Online is now on life support if this is pretty much all the only major update in what is likely to be a 6 month period has.

At least Monster Hunter World Iceborne is out on PC this week tho 🥰

Huge meh from me.

Adding a hoodie but not allowing it to be worn with the hood up. Meh.

Cow print reskins. Meh.

Original limited clothing still not being rotated back into availability. Meh.

Discounts and bonuses that are useless to day one and long term players. Meh.

Continuing to make it look as though RDO is on life support. Meh.

It's not looking good R*, it really isn't.

No Homing

This game is badly in need of a good event week and some bug fixes.

Currently it feels like the beta all over again, not much to do, bad event weeks and a lot of bugs.

It didn't. It didn't get a camp theme or outfit for Cripps either.

It's meh but I don't really know what to expect from the weekly updates. All I hope for is some new clothing I might like. We're not going to get any substantial content like new weapons etc outside of an update so what are people hoping for when they read these?

Yikes...

Though I guess the different bar themes + the existense of the shack make up for the lack of camp cosmetics?...

If they patch animal spawns/dynamic events as an update week, I would be ecstatic.

I mean, yeah, we got the shack and 3 none default interiors.

I can live without a role specific Cripps outfit, f*ck Cripps.

R* could have done something cool with a moonshiner camp theme though, it was a bit of a letdown. Only Trader actively uses camp but Collector and Bounty Hunter still got themes, I can't think of a good reason to skip Moonshiner.

I still haven't started the role yet. It's 30 gold for me since I also didn't bother with trader. Owning a bar is cool, but I don't want my RDR2 experience to be a GTA:O repeat where I'm just the owner of everything. In a way it made me lose some kind of character identity. I prefer to be specialized in -one thing- even if it mean not getting access at some gameplay feature. Moreso, the gameply behind Moonshiner ask for too much management for my taste.

Beside, the camp is the only place at which I can spawn at, cook, rest and order stuff at will. It really feels like a 'home' to me. So on that front I agree with you that a Moonshiner camp theme would have been great.

Fully agree with you on not wanting the GTAO, everyone owns everything experience.

The Moonshine shack will never feel like home, mostly due to us buying it for some stranger who Cripps has just introduced us to. She gets a bedroom and lives there. We're the one doing the donkey work.

Of course, I just bought a top tier Norfolk Roadster at full price yesterday. That'll teach me to purchase anything before the weekly changes again.

The rest of the bonusses seem, again, catered to new players. Probably as those can still enthuse friends to come over and play too, buying the game and generating Rockstar/T2 money by the purchase of the game and impatience of newcomers to step into the roles, thus paying RL money for gold.

Longtime players can go suck donkey balls and get stupid clothing to spend their tons of gold bars on. I said it once and I'll say it again, us longtime players aren't the guys R*/T2 are aiming to please. We don't generate money anymore, nor do we lack the spirit to enthuse friends/family to get into the game. We bitch and moan.

Rockstar's explanation of taking it slow is nothing more than a confession of a lack of creativity. Updates show it, weekly releases show it, current gameplay shows it too. We'll probably get more attention when player numbers are rapidly decreasing.

Yeah, but I used it on the first Norfolk I bought, the tricolor coat one. Yesterday I decided to buy the Dappled Bucksin coat one as well. I forgot to wait for discounts, or never expect anything nice coming from Rockstar in that area anymore. So, yeah, it's my own stupid mistake.

Why is R* punishing their main playerbase? Already a discount on the Outlaw Pass, shafting the players that play the game and thus should be the ones rewarded.

They just continue to spit in their fans mouths while trying to cater to people that don't give a sh*t and will abandon this game like it's nothing.

If R* played their cards right they could foster an amazing RP community that will play for years but they want that Fortnite crowd that spends their parents credit cards

These cow skins and poofy bits are getting really old now. Who would think they are nice? I think for a long time for GTA and RDO clothing they let their 4 year old daughters do the designs.

The state of clothing is quite poor, as if it's an afterthought, not really part of an update worthy of good designs. They need to rethink that strategy.

It's not like we are drowning in so many new cool clothing that they couldn't return the early beta limited items. So many of us didn't yet have much money or gold back then.

One simple reason: they can't make money from us. We already have stacks of gold bars and have no need to replenish our stacks with gold from the store. New players can still be easily persuaded by spending money on gold bars, while there's an expensive item on sale. And, as I said in another post, new players experience all the issues in a different way than we do. For all they know, wildlife has never spawned that much as we've seen it spawn. 2 birds with one stone for Rockstar; money in the bank + wildlife issue "fixed".

I know that but is f*cking assbackward. The players they want are the ones that will abandon this game the moment stuff that fills the void left by their fathers beating dries up.

All we are there for is to drive aspiration, envy and impulse. We're show ponies.

The players who dip in and out probably aren't waiting for a Newswire every Tuesday, don't keep up with what's time limited or what's new outside of DLC release dates. They see our rank, clothing, horses and camps, maybe accept the odd shack or posse invite while riding from one random shooting to the next. They'll check out what they think looks cool and some of them will spend money on gold.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, I wish R* would focus the game towards it's daily players, those of us putting hundreds of hours in, but they won't.

I dont know if this will get me in trouble and I am sorry if it does but I am pretty much tempted to wait until I can Mod all the MP stuff into SP on PC including my character or I can just trick the game into letting me play MP offline.

Given time, if you're playing on PC, I suspect RedM will cater to most, if not all, of your needs.

It's nowhere near there yet, but RDR2 is still in its infancy on PC. If RedM gets even half as good as FiveM my PC playtime will increase by many, many hours.

No, they won't. We're only costing them money by using up data and data transfer. I love this game, but I'm not seeing much of a future in it now. In the current state, I'm not feeling very warm and fuzzy by the thoughts of spending time with lots of bored longtime players, nor with the current influx of newcomers.

I'd feel much more to store my character data local machine, play offline (with an option to go online) and pay a small fee for any interesting upgrades, to download and play. They'd make more money off of me that way than this way.

But, paying customers means Rockstar has the obligation to fix things if bugged and they're apparently aren't intended to do that on a regular basis. So, I think this is as good as it gets.
