Met my first RD2 PC hacker in tumbleweed just now

Recommended Posts

I wont post their handle as me and my friend just reported them for cheating.

Seems he had some sort of god mode as he made explosions go off in the entire area of the town, like landmines everywhere.  Couldn't even respawn without immediately blowing up again.  Showing me that I was killing myself, or sometimes by falling damage.   Happened just after I hit the gunstore, I was buying from the Gunsmith when he suddenly kicked me out of his store. Then I had a bounty then it was like dynamite going off everywhere there was a NPC standing.  The butcher, the sheriff..all the random NPC's

Me and my friend getting bounty racked up every death.  Then *he* pressed charges against me, I'm guessing for his horse not being protected from his own nukes. Made my hostility go up even though ive never attacked another player to date without being attacked first.  So  I managed to get in town and there he was standing in the middle.  As the explosions going off he wasn't being hurt nor hunted by the sheriffs. His dot finally turned red then but after being blown up, over and over before I could hit any button, I finally manage to switch lobby to get away from him.

I can deal with all the multiple bugs in this game, I can deal with the annoying glitches that cause me to have to restart the game to clear. I wont put up with weak security allowing hackers to mess with the population because they are bored and have mommy issues.

Seems I just googled the same thing has already happened to someone else  https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-a-red-dead-online-hacker-turn-me-into-a-walking-stick-of-dynamite/

I'm legitimately sorry for all those who choose to play RDO on PC and have to deal with this. Knowing that I could fall prey to such assholes is why I won't go back to multi player games on PC. I watched a video on the mod menus available and this dude was doing Hulk style leaps across the map, teleporting to and killing people in godmode and then there was the video of the dude getting his money leeched. f*ck that.

And rockstar don't take this kind of thing seriously. They tell you to use the in-game reporting feature but that does absolutely nothing. They don't even have a bad sport like in GTA so they are definitely not going to suspend someone because of some reports.

Yeah, it's already pretty much where GTA Online is/was; since late December I've been blown up, instantly set on fire, had cougars and the typical GTA Online "yellow-haired" clones of myself spawned around me, etc.

No money drops yet, but I've seen YT posts of how they do it--items have to be picked up before they register.

Thankfully, the "modders" have been fairly rare for me so far, but I'm sure that'll start changing quickly.
