Wolverine78
I think i would love GTA VI to be more realistic than GTA V but less complicated than RDR 2 when it comes to game mechanics . Somewere in there is a sweet spot . I would love having some mechanics from RDR 2 into GTA VI. What mechanics would you guys like to see implemented in the next GTA ? Volatollotalov
I know this is a bit of a niche interest for some, but I'd love for flight to be more realistic. That shouldn't necessarily make it more difficult to fly, but at the moment it feels like you're in a low gravity slow-motion environment, especially at low speeds. The result is a pretty weird and unrealistic experience. Compare this to the game's realism when driving cars and the quality difference is huge. Helicopters are somewhere in the middle of the two extremes, but they have their issues too. I think the ability to have more nuanced control over things like flaps and the rudder would make a big difference if they fixed the lift/gravity strangeness. Maybe flight could be available in two modes depending on the player's preference; easy and fun (similar to GTA5) or more immersive and adjustable. Also I've always found it hilarious and a little bizarre that your character can carry around an entire truck-load of weapons and ammo, seemingly all in their pockets and with no problems at all! Not sure how that could (or even should) be fixed though. Edited January 2, 2020 by Volatollotalov Xiled and ventogt
Max.pain
sometimes i think people get this a bit wrong. people see it as “realistic” instead of “cooler”. in max payne 3 the player can carry max four different weapons including grenades and the reason it is awesome not because it is realistic because it is good looking. duy9161 and Zello
Thejeffster
I would love to see actual extreme weather implemented in the game, something more than just a thunderstorm with rain. Jakub1904, NightmanCometh96, XXVIII and 1 other
Lotte
I think maybe a good combo would be less realistic on foot and more realistic in vehicles? running (and fighting) in tight quarters feels really bad because of how the characters are built to move around realistically, and all you'd need to do to fix that would be to make the characters movements snappier. On the other hand, you probably could add more nuances to how vehicles move without changing the inputs that they require currently AND without making it less accessible to people who are just picking up the game
Jabalous
I'm personally in favor of pushing more toward a more realistic approach for missions, controls, driving and weapons design. As an example, instead of unlimited weapons hidden in the protagonist's pockets, we instead have to carry them in a vehicle or a bag, similar to the inventory and storage system implemented in Redemption 2. We can interact with different parts of the car by storing our belongings in them, such as handguns in the glove compartment, rifles and shotguns in the trunk or in the backseat, snipers in a suitcase, clothes, bulletproof vests and so on. This will create new levels of interactivity and depth to the world and It will all add up to the immersion factor of the game. All of this can be dumbed down, if necessary, to an extent for the Online space in order to make the pacing faster. DexMacLeod
I'm not even sure what the sweet spot between fun and realism would be. RDR2 tried it hard and most of the "realism" features just felt arbitrary at best, immersion breaking at worst. If they do something like a limited weapon loadout, I could be fine with that. You never really need much more than a pistol and an assault rifle in most single player shooters anyway. The only thing is, they have to make the entire inventory system match that. If I can only carry x amount of guns "because realism" than I shouldn't be able to carry hundreds of rounds of ammunition, 30 snacks, 12 sodas and a million dollars of cash in my pockets. People bring up using cars as storage but I'm not sure that works as well in a GTA as it does in RDR2. Me personally, I don't tend to just find one car I like and stick with it for the rest of the game like I did my horse. On the first playthrough, I'm generally jacking random pedestrians cars and driving them around until I see another one that looks interesting.
