Garage & Collections

TwJfrqU.jpg

Hi guys, I'm sure many of you have acquired quite a large car collection over the years and have various ways or methods of storing them. Storage seems to be a pretty hot topic around here, whether it be the lack of storage or how your organized all of your cars. Even topics like "I developed a Personal Garage system that lets you track all the Vehicles you have" have been to created to help keep track of storage. Nobody really seems to have created an official garage topic that sticks and encourages players to share and discuss their garages and choices of cars (and any topic that tried died eons ago). And I repeat, this is primarily intended to be a discussion topic that allows listing and posting of pictures if necessary (with spoilers preferably after 5-10 overall pictures).

So how important is the categorization of your rides and garages important to you, and how do you do it? Feel free to provide a list of your entire collection, or just your garages and their themes, the number of cars you own and/or feel free to talk about it. I will be providing my collection in a post below.

This is a place where you can detail things like What is your most driven car/brand/vehicle type? What is your favorite overall car? What are your general tastes and any plans for the future? Etc.

I hope this can serve as an engaging and open topic to every car lover's liking. :)

SummerFreeze

My favorite garage is my "history of the fastest production car" garage inside the facility.

It consists of the:

Stirling GT (Mercedes Benz 300SL)

Mamba (AC Cobra M III 427)

Monroe (Lamborghini Miura P400)

Torero (Lamborghini Countach LP 500 S)

Comet Retro Custom (Ruf BTR*)

GP1 (McLaren F1)

Entity XXR (Koenigsegg Agera RS)

It's basically finished except I can't decide on a color for the Torero (currently trying out a green), so I don't have any pictures yet.

There are enough cars in GTAO to fill out a 10-car garage with that same idea, but I'm not much of a fan of the others that would qualify, particularly Bugattis.

*) RWB modified a Ruf BTR that looks almost exactly like the Comet Retro Custom:

I organise by country for the most part. The only garages that span multiple countries are my newer release super cars, racing livery and weaponised / armoured vehicles with the later stored at my underground base.

I intend to sort out a classics garage with vehicles from various countries but that will be after the current drip feed has ended.

Its complicated for me. I'm currently using a mix of favorites, brands and types.

A bit of a background on how I arrived to that formula, in the first 3 years of GTAO, I had a relatively small-to-modest collection that peaked at 40 cars by the end of 2016. Things started getting out of control afterwards. By the end of 2017 I had 73 cars, by the end of the 2018 I had 85 cars & today I have 124 cars.

I used to organize them by favorites, things were manageable back then, but as my collection grew I had to adapt a different strategy to organize the cars.

- My 10 top favorites now reside at my Master Penthouse.

- The office, G1 holds a mix of favorites and cars I generally like (tier 2 if you may).

- The office, G2 holds a mix of tier 2 & tier 3 cars.

- The office, G3 holds my Dubsta (5), Cognoscenti (5), Baller LE (6) & Oracle XS (3) collection. But I'm planning to move them to make room for my growing Grotti collection.

- The Nightclub holds my Grotti collection (9) at the moment, but I'm planning on moving them to the office.

- The arena, B1 holds my Japanese sports cars (2) & my off-roaders (6) ... Odd mix I know lol.

- The arena, B2 holds my Albany collection (9).

- I have 2 muscle car garages at Tinkle & a Mopar collection at Eclipse.

I drafted a plan to reorganize my collection & accommodate the DCH roster, but I yet to follow through in the game.

As for the database, I've created my own database a couple of years ago. Basically, a bunch of spreadsheets in OneNote that covers everything regarding my collection.

Parking Spot, Make & Model, Color Name, Color Hex, Wheels, Mechanical Upgrades, Licence Plates ... etc the whole works.

I'll share photos of my collections once I'm done reorganizing them.

GAUNTLET HELLFIRE

I did have my garages all organized into classes but after getting rid of some cars and moving them around for the merge glitch most of my garages just have random crap everywhere. So far I have my Gauntlet Hellfire garage sorted and mostly my muscle garage sorted. Most of the time I'm playing GTA now I'm doing something with the casino heist so my arcade is my 10 most used vehicles Gauntlet Hellfire, Gaunlet Classic, Gauntlet, Entity XXR, Everon, Insurgent Pick Up, Kuruma, Vigilante and Oppressor MK2. I'm either going to sort out my super car garage later today or just get rid of them all and just have my Entity XXR and XF.

*still adding pics via spoilers*

Alright, I've decided to share my current collection at the moment. I have two main locations where I store my prized possessions; a fully optioned out CEO garage at the Lombank West tower in Del Perro and then the Casino Penthouse garage. A lot of organization and acquisition has happened over the years. The amount of cars that have custom crew colors exceeds the amount that don't... yeah. 😂

I'm a big car enthusiast, and when it comes to cars I'm obsessed with it all. The design, the driving, but I'm also obsessed with all of the specifications. I mostly organize my garages by brands and types. There are some brand related floors, but in most other cases I create a theme, like an American theme or a hyper cars theme or a luxury/VIP cars theme. This not only makes it easier for me to know where all of my cars are, but it makes them aesthetically pleasing to look at and it just creates a cool vibe. It reminds me of games like Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2. Where you'd go out and buy some cars, completely spec them out with real-life factory options and colors, then organize them however you desire. This is exactly what I do in GTA:Online and I think games like that are a big reason why.

Now let me start with my looong and detailed post. :)

The "Foreign" Cars Garage

  • The Grotti Floor
    Vb58kkk.jpg

This ones self-explanatory. My spot for all things Grotti. I drive all of them, but especially the Itali GTO. It is probably my favorite because it combines everything I like about Ferrari. Most people do their Ferrari collections in Rosso Corsa, but I've always been a bit of a hardcore Ferrari aficionado. Colors like Grigio Ingrid and Azzurro California are too good to miss out on replicating.

    Carbonizzare - Azzurro California

    Bestia GTS - Rosso Corsa

Itali GTO - Grigio Ingrid / Blu Medio Interior

Cheetah (Classic) - Prugna Metallizzato / Sabbia Interior

    Turismo (Classic) - Rosso Corsa

    GT500 - Giallo Fly

  • The Pegassi Lounge

    CIJEUgF.jpg

These are all of my Pegassis. It's a very nice brand, not as fleshed out as Grotti but certainly nice to have. I tried to create multiple variants of the Infernus (Diablo) as you can see. I have a VT spec and then a more powerful SE30 spec. It's especially cool when Rockstar allows you to make your own variants of cars with a big selection of mods, it's almost like having 2 different cars.

Infernus (Classic) "VT" - Nero Aldebaran

    Infernus (Classic) "SE30" - Viola 30th

    Torero - Bianco

    Toros - Blu Hera

    Tempesta - Verde Mantis

  • The Germans & EVs Spot

    0v3kbdr.jpg

For all things German and EV, this is the place to be. I've got two variants of the Schlagen for different purposes, the same for my Comets, two fast EVs and an Ubermacht SUV for runnings errands in a rush.

Cyclone - Cyclone Blue (fictional color)

Raiden - Ocean Blue Metallic (fictional color)

Comet SR "GT2RS Weissach" - Signal Green

Comet SR "GT3RS Weissash" - Miami Blue

Rebla GTS - Marina Bay Blue

Schlagen "GT R" - designo Green Hell Metallic

The Classics & Retro Garage

  • The Legendary Classics Floor

    nIobpVi.jpg

My favorite classics live on this floor. These are the best looking and all of them are a joy to drive (save for the Swinger, it's eyecandy). I think a lot of people assume I'm just all about new exotic cars, but I really do love my classics. I'm just extremely picky with them.

Ellie - Candy Red Metallic (semi-fictional color)

Rapid GT (Classic) - Almond Green

    Swinger - British Racing Green

    Stirling GT - Silver

    Michelli GT - Rosso Corsa

    Extra Photos:

  • The 60's

    ahLCkKx.jpg

60's Americana and British motoring at its finest. It is quite the contrast, but it is all from the same decade. 🤷‍♂️ It is somewhat a continuation of my legendary classics floor, sort of. Those are a little more special though.

    Impaler - Blue (semi-fictional color)

    Vamos - Blue (semi-fictional color)

    Tulip - Yellow (semi-fictional color)

    Clique - Grey (semi-fictional color)

    Issi (Classic) - (semi-fictional color)

    Stafford - Rose Quartz

    Extra Photos:

    l

  • The Retro Classics

    UyQlNSL.jpg

Here we have the "retro" classics. Stuff from the 80's and 90's, incredibly fun cars to drive that still feel a little bit modern but are of a bygone era.

Jester (Classic) - Imperial Jade Mica

    GB200 "Evolution" - White

Ardent "SE" - British Racing Green Metallic

Sentinel (Classic) - Salmon Silver Metallic

    Zion (Classic) - Black

    Extra Photos:

The Luxury, Hyper & Americana Garage

  • The Ballers Lounge

    yHTHSvd.jpg

Being rich, I have expensive tastes. 😂 Yup, from the Baller LE and Dubsta to Enuses and a Vysser. All of these combine a look that looks like money with power. They're all great to daily if I'm in a bit of a baller mood.

Cognoscenti LWB - Côte d'Azur Blue (fictional custom order color)

    Paragon R - Apple Green

    Windsor - Sunburst Gold

    Neo - Dutch Orange Metallic

Dubsta - designo Mystic White Metallic

    Baller LE - KaiKoura Stone

    Extra Photos:

    l

  • The Billionaires Lounge

    ErwyPs0.jpg

And my uber expensive tastes go even further on this floor with more extreme exotic hyper cars. It also houses my Progen collection. All of these cars are special to me. My white GP1 is based on the F1 HDK, one that frequents Pebble Beach Concours. My green one is based on the XP5 "World Record" setting prototype F1. In a similar shade of green but somewhat different is a tribue T20 spec. And then, Mauvine "Blue" Emerus. And then I have my Truffades and the Overflod.

Thrax - Linen/Beluga Satin (fictional custom order color)

Nero - Burgundy d'Nero (fictional custom order color)

    Entity XXR - Pale Blue

    Emerus - Mauvine Blue

    T20 - XP Green

    GP1 "XP5 World Record" - XP5 Green

    GP1 "HDK" - White

    Extra Photos:

    l

  • A Little Taste of America

    OcTp13j.jpg

I don't have many American cars. And as a Texan, that may be odd. But I still do have a small collection of them. Bravado, Vapid. They're awfully fun cars and pretty damn good to look at too.

Caracara 4x4 "Shelby" - Lightning Blue

Caracara 4x4 "Raptor" - Liquid Blue

    Gauntlet Hellfire - B5 Blue

Gauntlet (Classic) "A/C" - Plum Crazy

    Freecrawler - Steel Grey

    Extra Photos:

    l

The Casino Showroom

  • Base Level
    s0nGRCZ.jpg

Lastly, we have my Casino Penthouse collection. There is no general theme, admittedly this has become a bit of an "overflow" collections lot. If there is a theme, it looks like the kind of cars you'd see at a wealthy casino valet. But generally these are my newest or duplicate acquisitions that cannot be squeezed into my CEO garage or I just need over here for convenience. Regardless, I still love the look of the collection.

    Komoda - Misano Blue

    Novak - Blu Inchiostro

    Jugular - Velocity Blue

    Windsor - Rose Quartz

    Paragon R - Orange Flame

Paragon R - Jetstream II Blue
Baller LE LWB - Velocity Blue (newest addition, not pictured)

    Extra Photos:

    l

And that really is it. Again, I surprisingly don't really play this game much more than like 2-3 months out of the year. It is so enjoyable to come back to a wonderful collection with themes, every car set up the way I want. It's what I've always wanted from a GTA game.

My garages are sorted by how much I like the cars and how much I like the properties they're attached to. The house i like the most is the cheaper North Conker one, so all of my favorite cars go in there, while the Tinsel Towers apartment is both the first high end apartment I bought AND my second favorite property so the cars that don't quite make the best cut that are also still not gonna get sold go in there. I still own that one apartment that was useful for Pacific Standard, so all the weaponized or whatever cars go in there. The medium house in Paleto Bay is where all of the very normal cars go. One of the airport garages is where i put stuff that's either free or that i'm undecided on where it ranks compared to everything else i have (or if i'm not sure if anything else is full or not)

like most of ppl here, I do organize my Garages by vehicle classes :

(won´t post pics since i do have so many cars , maybe in a dedicated thread or something)

exceptionalists Way :  lowriders

Del Perro Heights 7 :  sedans

Murietta heights :  compacts/coupes

331 supply st. :  offroad vehicles

Unit 2 popular st:  4 doors Vehicles (sedans and few Trucks and SUVs)

Greenwich parkway Muscle cars

Office garage 1 :  Supercars

Office garage 2 :  Supercars

Office Garage 3 :  Sports classics

Facility Garage in Lago Zancudo :  weaponised vehicles

Nightclub garage B2 , B3 and B4 :  Sports cars

Arena Garage :  Arena vehicles and other Armored/weaponised cars

Clubhouse Bikes

(and the Opp. MkII in the terrorbyte)

all of the listed garages are nearly 100% full , but i still have 2 empty arena floors + the casino garage , and I will be filling them in the near future for sure ...

and of course i´ve put some cars in the "wrong" garage class , it´s because R* messed some vehicles´ classification , like my deluxo in the sports-classic garage, or my Sultan RS in the sportscars´  garage etc ...

inside every office garage , there are specific floors for several brands : I do have a Pegassi floor , Grotti floor , Överflöd floor etc ....

My garages are so f*cked right now from all the merge glitches... it's going to take at least 4hrs to figure out everything again, especially with new purchases..

6 Favourites in Paleto Bay at my permanent residence where I usually spawn in.

10 Motorcycles at Clubhouse + 10 in a Penthouse garage.

30 Muscle Cars - Office 1

30 Sport Classic- Office 2

30 Sports cars - Office 3

10 Car of Race Livery Vehicles

The rest is hard to figure out, sometimes I cheat if I believe a car should be in a different class I'll add it to a different garage like my Blista Compact is always in Compact garage even if it's a Sport. Same thing with Sedans/Coupes labeled as Sports cars.

I do like to organize my vehicles according to their class and also their age. Although i am running out of space and the order is kinda messy right now. Planning on buy at least one nightclub garage floor to better distribute some of the misplaced vehicles

Office garage 1 - the two first floors are for modern super and sports cars, but i also keep the supra there, the third floor is for the executive vehicles (sedans and suvs).

Office garage 2 - Supercars from the 80s and 90s, but i also have the neo and the furia there because they couldn't fit in the garage 1

Office garage 3 - lowriders in the first two floors and off road vehicles in the third floor (i also have a prairie in this garage for some reason)

Apartment - muscle cars

Dry dock st - bikes

Facility - The tank

I also have a nightshark in the nightclub back entrance.

I'm a user, not a collector. I don't keep cars I don't like to drive and I drive a lot of my cars when I play the game. I don't move the cars around because it will be hard for me to remember which car is where.

I finally rearranged my collection & completed my spring cleaning. I yet to take photos though, the in-game weather is not helping do far. Hopefully soon.

In the meantime, I used the excellent garage system developed by @Andy Badwool

I used to be pretty OCD with my car storage, and I suppose I still am, but as my collection became less cohesive and more random I've just had to stick vehicles where they'll fit.

4 Hangman Ave - Dodge muscle cars

Del Perro Heights - Half BMW, half misc cars

4 Integrity Way - Half off road, half low riders/hot rods

Eclipse Towers - Ferrari

3655 Wild Oats Drive - Assorted Ford and Chevy muscle cars

2045 North Conker Avenue - Lamborghini

Sandy Shores Clubhouse - Choppers

Fort Zancudo Hangar - Planes and helicopters

Lago Zancudo Facility - Weaponized vehicles

Nightclub B2 - Imports

Nightclub B3 - Misc supers

Nightclub B4 - I currently use this to store vehicles to sell, like Ballers, Felons or any rare spawn car that I find on the streets, but when the F1 cars drop I plan to make it a garage for race cars

My cars are organised by vehicle type. I've been considering organising by manufacturer recently but I'm not sure how many garages I'd fill without having to add other random cars in also.

I forget all the garage names but I have 2 super car garages, retro super cars, modern/retro sports, modern/classic muscle, sedans, classics, lowriders/cruisers, rally, race, SUV and off-road/trucks.

I also have 2/3 more garages with miscellaneous cars I cant find room for.

Largely I sort by class but with price ascending too. I have one of each in muscle, sports, and super class including race and lowrider variants like the Massacro/Jester or Voodoo etc. About 14 classics, some weaponised/arena thats not completed yet, 3 compacts, 2 F1 cars, and an SUV. :)

Del Pierro apt: Muscle.

Eclipse 1: Muscle.

Eclipse 2: Muscle.

Stilt apt: Super.

Eclipse 3: Muscle.

Sth Shambles St. garage: Muscle.

Clubhouse: Bikes.

Facility: Weaponised.

Office 1: Sports.

Office 2: Sports.

Office 3: Sports.

NC enterance: Muscle (my Phoenix).

NC 1: Super.

NC 2: Super.

NC 3: Super.

Arena 1: Arena.

Arena 2: Weaponised/Classics.

Arena 3: Classics.

Casino penthouse: Sports/Super.

Arcade: F1/Compact/Sports/SUV.

MOC: Oppressor.

Terrorbyte: Oppressor MKII.

I don't use my weaponised stuff much aside arena bits in there of course, and if I had to choose one class, it's muscle cars all the way, but I do love my sports, supers and classics, wish I had more room for classics too. I do like to 'ghost pick' from the assistant or mechanic though as I like a varied drive in this game all too much.

Also, I always keep the stock wheels and keep my sports and supers looking more 'normal' with visible tune ups, I do the engines etc and add a spoiler, but the cars are very modest looking compared to my muscle and classics, those I tend to be more bold with upgrades/wheels etc.

Gonna have to look into that GTABase thing though, I do enjoy that site for info too. And of course, what's a garage enjoyment thread without asking papa R* for more storage, lol. C'mon R*, indulge us. :)

I'm sure you can guess the purpose of the following 2 garages.

Nice work for those that organize. I just stick my cars in any available space. Eventually I stumble upon an open slot in a garage and the car goes there.

1st Garage - Road Vehicles

 (1st Floor - Hypercars,  2nd Floor - Sportscars/Motorcycles, 3rd Floor - Track Day Cars)

2nd Garage - Racing Vehicles

(1st Floor - Open Wheel, LMP/GT1, 2nd Floor - GTE/GT3, 3rd Floor - Miscellaneous)

It's not easy, especially when you have overflow. I have a "random" garage where I throw extras

That is what I did when trying ot organize them, lol.

That response fits my PC account. My PS4 one is semi organized because it was used for years rather than a couple weeks.

I like to organise my collection by car category for the most part. Because I have a lot of cars (all the slots occupied) it was easier for me to make a video. What do you think guys? :)
