Metalgoddess66
Hey there, A few days after the Casino Heist dlc dropped, I spotted a hardtop Peyote in traffic right outside my arcade in Rockford Hills. I had never seen one before (didn’t even know that there was a hardtop version in addition to the roofless gang version), so I stole it, but wouldn’t you know it, I wasn’t in passive mode at the time, and before I could make it to LS Customs, some jerk off blew me up. I’ve been trying to locate another one ever since then, with zero luck. I’ve watched several videos that show players finding the hardtops in a parking area south of El Burro Heights near the ocean. Supposedly, if you arrive around midnight, you will find people spawned there with several Peyotes and/or Tornadoes. Yet, though I’ve tried to follow these videos many times, driving the same kinds of cars that the makers of the videos were driving, and arriving at the same time on the game clock as they did, I have only found people spawned there, but no cars. I’ve also driven through all the gang areas using several of my low riders, including a topless Peyote, still no luck. I’ve driven through Rockford Hills, Vinewood, Vespucci, and near the La Mesa police impound lot, as others have suggested to do in videos or threads, still no luck. I’ve tried session hopping to see if I could find a Peyote spawn cycle, nope. What am I missing? Is there any reliable way to get the hardtop Peyote to spawn? I know it’s just a game, but this Holy Grail quest is starting to become very frustrating. elfoam
Metalgoddess66
Update: never mind! I spoke to the maker of the following video, and he clarified a few things. First of all, you need to drive past the parking area south of El Burro Heights a number of times during the game night. At first, only people will spawn, but if you keep it up, you will eventually get cars. Most nights, you will only see hardtop Tornadoes. In fact, if you see them on a given night, you might as well go do something else, as the Peyotes won’t spawn that same night. I spent about twelve real-time hours patiently doing the drivebys at this location at night, but it took a long time before hardtop Peyotes finally spawned one night. After I stole my first, it took two more game nights to get a second. I think I’m done now, but I have a feeling that, should I ever want more, I seem to have now “unlocked the rotation code,” so I’m guessing that hardtop Peyotes will now spawn more frequently for me at that location. So, if you’re looking to collect one of these rare classic cars, don’t give up! Follow the method in this video, and eventually, your patience will be rewarded! elfoam
