Can't get into GTA Online

Hello, I am new to pc gta and everytime I try and get on gta I get "Initializing social club" in the bottom right. After about 5 minutes I get "Verifying game ownership is taking longer than usual. Please wait..." Then I get the choice of going to online and even if I go to story mode and then online I get the message "failed to load player data". If there is any more information you need, just say. I was previously online and got to level 20 but since then I haven't been able to get online. I've gone to rockstar support but they haven't replied to me in over a week now because it is christmas break.

If I could have some help, much would be appreciated. (Thanks in advance)

I've tried:

Disabled firewall

Deleting and reinstalling social club

and lots of other stuff but I'm free to suggestions

I am using the rockstar launcher and all my drivers and stuff are updated.
